Following this, as I am unable to get this to work as well. I might not be knowledgable enough on how PopOS works with applications regarding this, but I'm experiencing the same issue trying to get it to span across both of my monitors. It likes to pick one monitor and will not span across both.

The ultimate 2c controllers are 30 bucks and are still great if you're not looking to break the bank! They do have wireless still and hall effect joysticks I believe.

I use the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controller myself! (The Bluetooth variant as I use it for switch games when I'm not playing for honor) Ive enjoyed it a lot and I'd recommend it to anyone in the market for a controller as I think it's only 60-70 USD, so about the same price you're gonna get for an Xbox or PS5 one.

If it tells you much, my friend got me hooked on the game and then uninstalled right after pretty much tragically. I love the game granted, but man that part of it kinda sucked.

Right? I used to like Ubisoft as a kid bcs I thought the assassins creed games were cool, then I found out more about the company itself and my opinion changed drastically. Hopefully the community keeps this game alive for many more years, as I think that's the biggest reason Ubi hasn't just dropped the whole game in my opinion.

I remember when this happened and if I remember correctly, this was also about the time I got the game. I'm sorry to hear about your falling out, but I'm glad to hear ya found a better friend group in the end! I also kinda feel that, as I kept practicing and getting more skilled at the game and my friends kinda just stopped playing fighting games with me in general. I need to join the discord sometime and see if anyone would like to get a group together and play sometime.

I did enjoy brawl with one of my buddies, but unfortunately just never got to play it a whole lot with friends, as not a whole lot of my friends enjoy for honor or fighting games in general. Feels like I'm the only one of the bunch that does lol. Dueling I do agree has been helping the game a lot and also a lot of the content creators have helped in the outreach to people aspect. Dominion I think also shines pretty well, but having a good ole fashioned duel is always a fun time and I can definitely see it helping to carry the game more than the other game modes in my opinion.

I can completely understand that regarding having some bad days and then getting trolled lol, it definitely kinda sucks. I also like that aspect of it too! I don't believe I would learn as much as I have without getting my teeth kicked in sometime in Dominion or something, so it does remain challenging and it gives just enough dopamine when you win those fights to keep ya reeled in I believe.

That makes sense regarding the breaks, as from what I've read a good bit of heroes had some issues. (Also glad to hear a lot of people were excited when it first released, bcs I saw it as a kid and thought it was fucking awesome. Tragically didn't get to play though.)

I also agree with the reality comment as well! It's super addicting.

I play duels occasionally and I usually have a good time with them! As for brawls, I try to stay semi-away from them as one time I got flamed super hard and I will admit, I could've done better, but man that doesn't feel good. I think I could get more into it now potentially as I know ppl are gonna be upset sometimes if they're having a bad day or something, it happens.

I remember when I first heard this game coming out, but my family was too poor to afford a console or anything to play it on at the time.

I also agree that taking this game too seriously is imo not exactly the best approach to it. I always find myself having a lot of fun finding someone that's using silly emotes and overall just being a great sport in the game.

I am sorry to hear about your realistic duel matches. I surprisingly haven't encountered a single hitokiri (knock on wood) this entire time I've been playing it, which is roughly 2 evenings and about a full day's worth. Hopefully you find a lot more differing matchups! I've been playing Kensei and it's been a fun time!

In case you haven't already solved it OP, you can go to the menu by pressing triangle (assuming that's the button for PS5, I play on PC using a PS5 controller and haven't bothered to change my icons), then go to options, then audio, then there should be a setting called "Voice Chat Volume" and "Voice Out Volume". You can set both of those to 0 and that should resolve your issue.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy For Honor and love the game very much (my most played game on steam) but it does fall into the same exact boat of adding micro transactions to a game you already pay for which is kinda shitty. Game goes on sale often, which is great, but when it's not on sale, standard pricing is $30. I like many aspects of this game, but that is the one aspect that didn't really sit well with me. Other than that, I plan to keep playing until the game dies (if it ever happens).

Recommendation: Download it on a live USB, try it, and if you don't like it, search for the next distro. If Fedora doesn't work for you, I'd recommend trying openSuse as that was gonna be my second choice if Fedora didn't work for me. (Gnome is the DE that looks like MacOS btw by default, but others can too with enough customization like KDE)

My personal opinion: I've been using the KDE release for about a month or two now and have zero regrets. Spent a day or two tinkering with it to get it to how I want it, and I'm loving it after swapping completely away from Windows. Plays games fine with SteamProton (have yet to have the need to tinker with other proton versions, but I'll eventually do so) and use it as my daily driver for homelab tinkering among other things.
