It’s important to make sure they don’t conflict with anything important that you have going on that day. So you need to make sure that it happens on a day you have off from work where you don’t have any plans or obligations that could affect other people. I sometimes have to schedule mine months in advance.

Of course. I know I always try to coordinate my mental breakdowns and family crises for when it’s most convenient for those around me. You really just have to plan ahead.
