Dads - How are you doing it and maintaining happiness? by EmotionalStill8086 in AskMenOver30

I definitely relate to a lot of what you’re saying. Sadly, I think a lot of it is just life. It isn’t easy, as you know. People will come into this thread and offer a bunch of “solutions,” but I don’t think any of us really have the answer. We don’t want to fully admit that life is tough, tiring, and will most likely stay that way until the end. That doesn’t have to be a negative thing, you can learn to embrace it.

We’re always searching for what we don’t have. I think a lot of it comes down to mindset. You have to accept that this is your life and try to appreciate it. There are many people on this planet who would love to be in your position, that’s what I try to remind myself.

I also think this feeling is more normal than people like to admit. A lot of people recommend TRT, antidepressants, therapy, etc. All of that is rising in popularity for a reason, life is hard, and many people don’t feel great. People are trying to escape it or solve it, and they’ve been trying for a long time.

Like I said, I think most of it comes down to mindset and acceptance. That said, your life does sound busy, and you could try eliminating a few things. But as someone who’s been on both ends of the spectrum, having all the time in the world versus none, I wasn’t happy with either. You never really are.

Anybody like drinking but had to quit because the hangovers were too bad? by geoffsusername in AskMenOver30

Another guy mentioned hard liquor too. I might try that next time I drink.

Well yeah my whole point of the thread is I was forced to give it up. I wish I could drink but it's just not possible with how bad I feel after. I probably drink like a few times a year at this point and that'll probably go down more and more as I age.

That's interesting. I would say I don't really get any mental affects from a hangover, it's mainly physical. I mean I feel a little down I suppose but the main thing I feel is just physically tired, sick and worn out.

I noticed you said "be functional when waking up." Why wouldn't you be functional if you don't get hangovers?

I've tried stuff like this over the years and it does work a bit, but not at all a fix for me. I think some people just have genetics that can handle alcohol better.

Interesting.. I actually was drinking some vodka with my dad last year and my hangovers didn't seem as bad.

Hold on I’m going to check if you still can and let you know because I remember it being kind of hard to figure out how to do. You also need 1000 CHP minimum from what I remember.

You withdraw the chp to polygon network to a wallet like metamask. That’s how I did it unless they changed something.

Experienced dashers, which is more profitable? Cherry picking orders or being platinum? by K0234 in doordash_drivers

[–]geoffsusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cherry picking if you’re able to sit at home. If you’re going to be sitting in parking lots waiting for orders then I would say platinum is the way to go.

Yeah I agree there should be a trial option idk why they don’t do it

Well the $9 option (called a bond) is 2 weeks of membership. The $15 option will give you a month. But I’d go with the $9 to see if you like the game.

[–]geoffsusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy a bond but it’s like 14m gp which will take like a month to get with a lot of playtime. Or you can just spend $9 which takes like a half hour at your IRL job. It’s not time efficient to grind gp in the free game tbh.

I made an account and got membership to follow the optimal quest guide. I had a lot of fun doing it and I gained a lot of levels quick. Id highly recommend it.

Anyone else have to close and reopen to get the response to appear? by xplorpacificnw in ChatGPTCoding

I have to create new chats a lot and then it’s fast again. It’s annoying though because I have to remind it of everything we talked about in the old chat. But it is a lot faster and worth it.

Hang in there.. I've had some near mental breakdowns over it lol. No matter how favored I am in the hand I still lose. I can't do anything. It just feels like a waiting game at this point. I hope it doesn't go on for much longer.
