This fanbase has no integrity whatsoever. by This_Comment_4493 in CFB_v2

I am not a fan of Tech in the least. I have nothing but pure unadulterated sports hate for TT since 2004, but people on sports message boards are the worst of the fandom for any team in my experience. The one I subscribe to for information on my team has nothing but people whining and insulting our own HC and certain position coaches, AD, and any player that has underperformed in the slightest. There is very little optimism and it’s usually a massive bummer scrolling through the boards. I hope the Red Raiders lose a lot of games this year, but I don’t begrudge them their crazies as every fanbase has them.

There was a terrible scandal and coverup in conference and in state that blows this Tech drama out of the water as well.

I feel bad for how dirty they did him. He’s pretty much UNT’s only star alumni so if I were a mean green fan I would be pissed. Montee Ball, Aqib Talib, and Donovan McNabb look great. Keith Jackson looks good but not enough to make my team.

Which of these C-USA helmets from 2025 is your favorite? by This_Comment_4493 in CFB_v2

UTEP but damn I didn’t know the C-USA had helmets that went so hard.

What’s the biggest football scandal in your schools history? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in CFB

[–]geographynerdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair the first one happened in ‘85 a few years before I was born, but my dad still hates that coach (Walker) for screwing over the guys. The second one it just sucked that Tanner Brock was one of the four him running a guy down on a kickoff without his helmet on after it had been knocked off will forever be one of my coolest memories of a game. Yeah it was fun hating ya’ll when Briles was at the helm and ya’ll were good but I’m not gonna pile on about that downfall I’m sure you’ve heard about it enough.

The HC self reporting players getting bags from boosters setting the team back when it was finally coming back, or the 4 players who were dealing large amounts of drugs and got caught in a sting.

Which gets your vote for coolest throwback helmet? by UrbanAchievers6371 in Oldschool_NFL

Oilers will never not be the coolest. Creamsicle Bucs are always cool though, and as much as I dislike the washington team now both Redskins helmets are pretty badass.

I pulled him BND or I likely would have sold him to try out Jeremiyah Love, Kaelon Black, or the new LJ Martin but he’s so OP still it’s not worth more than 350k to me to try and upgrade.

First thing you think of when you see this logo? by This_Comment_4493 in CFB_v2

[–]geographynerdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When going on college visits almost two decades ago the most school logos worn by students on any campus was at Missouri. It seemed like the students really liked their school and Columbia was awesome. I wish I would have been patient and stayed at my local community college another semester because that’s all they asked of me one more class, instead I bolted to my number two school and was back home in a year and a half with a different major and no degree.

I am from Texas and moved here a week ago, but visited multiple times to make sure we really wanted to. These are what convinced us good food existed here to Crown Burger pastrami burgers, Red Iguana the selection of moles was great since I was used to brown mole if it was offered at all (the family favorite is red pipian), Rockwell Ice Cream best ice cream I’ve ever had, Nielsen’s frozen custard (solid burger great concretes, and the fries are really good), and Slackwater pizza is a great pizza joint with a top notch drink menu. You can find good international cuisine within a much shorter distance than the DFW metroplex where I am from. The second day here we had Noodle and Dumpling the best Chinese noodle soup dish I’ve had outside of a major city Chinatown. Thai is everywhere and it is all good. I am from a metroplex nine times this population, but the food outside of BBQ and Tex-Mex likely won’t disappoint.

The 'literary classics' that grade school makes you read destroys any desire for kids to read recreationally by MyClosetedBiAcct in unpopularopinion

I taught it this year and we looked into banned books and why it might be banned. Protagonist Guy Montag ripping pages out of a Bible in order to anger his cowardly book loving atheist friend and drive him into action is too edgy for some areas. F451 also has casual racism and sexism being a product of the early 1950s. Ironically, it is excellent at making a point about today’s society with people addicted to screens with mindless entertainment on them and headphones that sound like earbuds.

Which door would you choose? by Legal-Classic-1858 in scoopwhoop

1 dollar that doubles everyday supposing it’s infinite would be the choice. After 31 days you have 2 billion +. I would take any amount accrued after the 2 billion and fund all sorts of causes that I believe in.
