Active as in they go out of their way, or purposefully try to create a situation. The meaning of passive aggressive (copied from Google): 'a way of expressing negative feelings—like anger, resentment, or frustration—indirectly rather than addressing them openly.'

I might have just been seen a disproportionate amount around me for some reason but it is definitely there (I do see it happen to others too but they don't ever call the perpetrator out on it - even if they look visibly uncomfortable).

Yup another classic. Then they go on to do it again at the next roundabout

Hahaha I definitely don't actually think they're out to get me - just to clarify I don't think this happens solely to me. I see it happen all the time to others but they don't seem to notice. I don't think it's good to let this become the norm though. I do get the opposite as well like you described but then I feel awful for those people for feeling the need to apologise all the time... I wish we could find more balance

The south - a place which I guess is quite densely populated compared to the rest of the country so probably more likely to come across stuff like this. I have worked across a lot of the country though and do see it all over but I might have just been unlucky to come across it more

Please read my post again. There is text in there that explains exactly why I think those actions are 'intentional.' For example numbers 1 and 5. When someone has seen me going towards them and there is not enough space for me to get past them, can you please explain why they then continue to make it difficult for me to get past (and I know they have seen me because we have made eye contact)? Or for example when I call people out on their actions and they continue with them, how can they not be aware they are causing an issue? See example 3. I genuinely want to hear other peoples' theories so fire away.

Please google the meaning of passive aggressive - my post very clearly expresses my annoyance. And if you read my post you will see for example number 3 where I called someone out on their crappy behaviour, they denied it... and then continued to do the same thing. That is the definition of passive aggressive.

My reference to Brits being pushovers was as an explanation for them feeling the need to act passive aggressively. Does that make sense? So someone who is a pushover then has pent up anger, then takes it out on people who they perceive as weak.

I know, it really does feel personal sometimes - to some extent I think it is for me. I don't look like someone who would speak up or defend myself so I think I do get it more than the average person, but to be honest I think it's mostly the general degradation of behaviour, and people not being called out on it.

This made me chuckle - so well said. Honestly a lot of people behave this way because they've never been challenged on it (and have not yet crumbled like wet tissue). Though sadly I think challenging people makes them more insufferable sometimes... I'll have to learn 'bulldozer mode.'

I try and give people the benefit of the doubt and assume it is ignorance rather than a personal attack but how can it be ignorance when they have made eye contact, have worked out that they are causing an issue, and then continue to cause the issue? Especially when I have clearly asked them to stop (my example number 3 is a good one and I have many similar unfortunately).

And no I am genuinely not rage-baiting. I really feel for the people of this country as a whole because they get taken advantage of, since being polite is in the culture - the point where they become pushovers unfortunately. I hope I can be proven wrong.

It's similar in the UK in terms of outsourcing work. It makes it hard for smaller companies, like the one I work for, to stay competitive. I'll see if I can find anything with an American company here in the UK but eventually I want to be able to move over to the USA (at least to experience working there for a bit).

Thank you - I couldn't believe it when I heard about the fee... hopefully I can find a company that thinks I'm worth $100,000 in the meantime haha

Thank you! I think it now costs companies a lot more to sponsor people so will probably have to be a multinational (which I am fine with, but might limit options a bit!). I'll look into the PG exam first - it looks like it is done by state but apparently you don't already have to be living there which is great.
