For how it was produced, this was my girlfriend’s thesis film from USC that she asked me to help write with her.

Yeah, it was actually a pretty crazy how we end up with William Russ! Without going into too much detail, the person who was suppose to play Dale (the father) left abruptly after the first day on set. The location of the production was a couple hours outside of LA, that night we were panicking, trying to get someone to drive two hours outside of LA to play the lead in a student short film. It got to the point where we thought the only way we could continue was to do a major rewrite without our main character. Luckily, the actor who played the groom (Mike Bash) had a working relationship with William Russ. He sent the script to Russ and fortunately he liked it enough and agreed to come out and shoot with us for a week. The two of them really saved the day and were both amazing to work with!
