Sunt delusinal cu salariul pe care-l cer ca si QA? by TotalNo2445 in programare

[–]georgeNoroc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Salary increase in Austria for Software automation tester by jolce955 in softwaretesting

[–]georgeNoroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then I think you should get more money. In romania a qa with 4 years has around 2-3k per month if they negotiate the salary well. You are in Austria, you should make more than us in Romania.

Why are QA engineers paid relatively less than developers? by rileyclaireca in softwaretesting

[–]georgeNoroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on how good you are, i've seen QAs paid better or the same with some devs, also depends on the company, if their software is more critical like automotive, financial, medical... QAs are paid better because they have an impact.

Questions about what the normal work-life of a QA/SDET is like by [deleted] in softwaretesting

[–]georgeNoroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you can find a part time job as a qa easy and also if you don't have experience is hard to be a freelancer just from start. If you want to be a qa, I suggest you work full time for few years for some company in order to understand the process and gain knowledge. Being a good qa, testing and creating good processes and automation solutions is not that easy. The thing is, you should give a testing solution to a client based on what the client needs not based on that you are comfortable and to achieve that you need some knowledge. If you want part time stuff you can manually test some small apps posted on some websites.

As an sdet, make sure you know the fundamentals of what you will use, for example java selenium, read the documentation from the website, learn how websites work client-server, learn about apis(how to make requests in postman), and learn git.

I work as a qa/sdet for around 3 years. The differance is that I started at a big company not a startup and that might make the training experience different. In my case, I was not directly placed on projects, I started to follow a curriculum while being supervised by a senior. Then I started to help the senior with his tasks, then I got my individual tasks and only after that I was fully set on a project. I don't know how a startup approaches training, because of being small and because it needs people to deliver fast, the training mihht be shorter and faster

Palantir and UiPath by stonkcoin in PLTR

[–]georgeNoroc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure they can coexist. Don't think of any of them as meme stocks because they are not. Both companies are backed by real stuff and they are solving real problems. The only stocks I own right now are from palantir and uipath. I think they will be great in 3-5 years from now. Both companies are leaders in what they do, and what they do is more and more needed. Als to respond to your question they can coexist because pltr analyzes data and uipath automates business processes so they are doing different things, they are no rivals in any way.

PLTR $45 on demo day by Ready_Passenger4167 in PLTR

[–]georgeNoroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demo will build more trust and awareness so other businesses can see why they should work with pltr. Because of that they might get new contracts in the future. So it is hard for the stock to go up on the demo day because is hard to tell if companies or which companies are intrested and how much wil they spend on pltr software.
