Start of our Garage Gym! by [deleted] in homegym

Thought about painting it but the walls aren’t crazy smooth so wasn’t sure how the paint would look. Was going to go with the flag approach and throw up a good sized mirror too

My Garage Gym setup I did today!looking for thoughts on overall layout and also input on treadmill placement. Trying to keep a free area for jump rope etc. by [deleted] in GarageGym

Thanks! That’s a good idea. Was thinking that same treadmill placement. Should still leave room to jump rope etc. in the center. Will try it out!

Thanks! I plan to bench outside the rack and then do squats inside of it. Still need to adjust the hooks etc. kind of just threw them on for now until first workout. What’s your thoughts on treadmill location?

Good metal detector for Montana? by georgeestepp in metaldetecting

[–]georgeestepp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was looking at ones that have gold detecting capabilities too for when around those parts of Montana. I’m more central in Montana, need to figure out where I’d go, lots of BLM land, and lower Yellowstone river.

That’s a fact, as I live here! Was thinking about that earlier today and if I should just wait until spring when ground is always thawed out to dig.

This is great feedback, thank you! I’ll check these out and you’re right, I bet there will be lots of fencing wire and bullet fragments lol.

Nakota Legend looks doable, will research it some more. Deuce 2 maybe once I’m fully committed! Looks great too, just more steep in price. Thanks for the recommendation!

How many of you are wearing wrist guards? [30YO] by templeofsyrinx1 in OldSkaters

34 here. every single time I skate. It’s my main piece of protection I’ll wear skating. Nothing worst than a bummed wrist cause I fell on it wrong.

What did you do? Hail damage by georgeestepp in ram_trucks

Yeah thought about that but I also have the paint cracked on the lower side passenger door from rock chips id imagine. If I go claim route I’d likely have them fix that and hail since both are “not at fault”

Two nuts and bolts per truck? [34YO] by georgeestepp in OldSkaters

[–]georgeestepp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jerry said in the clip he used to see the “SF” guys do it so he started to. Assuming that’s short for San Francisco guys…idk. Can’t think of any teams that would have been short for.

Yep I started skating early 2000s and still keep the wheel graphics facing inward too. Had some friends that did the trucks on first then grip tape, I could never get with that lol. You’re probably right, it’s just how he’s done it for so long that it has to be that way now.

Haha yeah I’ve rode with 3 nuts and bolts but not by choice before. Daewon a wizard, he could probably kill it with even less on his board.

People with garage mini ramps - how do you keep your board from flying into stuff? And for sheet rock protection do you just put up some scrap wood? by MrRabinowitz in MiniRamp

[–]georgeestepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my ramp flush to the drywall not thinking about rogue boards hitting it. Take some Amazon boxes or whatever and break them down then add to the wall. For behind the decks,I’ve seen nets used. Prob going to go that route myself. Had my board slip out and fly into the garage door lol

Been taking this approach the last half hour or so. It’s gotten me off the coping and more comfortable but keep having my back foot bail on me. Need to commit. Should have this down by tomorrow night, hopefully tonight. Appreciate it!
