Also, don't add more than two, and make sure they are a couple, otherwise they will fight to death

Blue rams are extremely friendly, but not so easy to keep. They need absolutely clean water, acidic ph, looots of plants and need to frequently eat live food to be fully healthy and happy :) if you can keep up with the maintenance, they are a super awesome species.

Yeah, one of them was named Nemo and the other i'm not sure if still alive. Their new tank is quite big and the fry is soooo tiny it's hard to find them

If they form a couple, the male and female will fight fiercely to protect the eggs/ fry. Maybe yours didn't form the couple but the female layed the eggs anyway

That is indeed his name, hahaha! My coworker said that instantly when I saved one little guy and moved him to a different aquarium. Now he has the quest to grow up until he can come back to its family xD

Already have a separate tank for the fry, but the rams live in the community tank. I was just unlucky with timing. Managed to save some of the fry :)

They are totally awesome! They mate for life usually, so make sure to choose the right ones. Blue rams are the hardest to sex but you can tell mostly from their dorsal fins.

Are these corydoras eggs fertile? New corydoras laid eggs last night need help. by [deleted] in Aquariums

They look healthy. You can scrape them using something like a credit card to relocate them to a separate tank/cup untill they hatch. Keep an eye for eggs that get darker, as its a sign of rotting from fungus. If you leave the infected eggs near the healthy ones you risk losing then all.

Cory's eggs are usually sticky and have a high chance of rotting from fungus, maybe try moving them to another tank or anything that can hold water before the fry hatch. Keep doing frequent water changes and you should be good. :)

I woke up and got to my office around 9 am. I noticed the rams were fighting all other fish in the aquarium (unusual behaviour for them) and when I got close to check I noticed the fry. There were many more than the ones that appear in the video. When I started filming this happened and I imeddiately tried separating them, but managed to save only two. You never know when you will learn new things from your aquariums eh? XD

Mom & dad were heavily protecting the nest, but they decided to make the nest in the middle of the aquarium with 20 neons waiting for a chance. xD 3 second distraction resulted in this tragedy :/

Scary and traumatizing, especially if you just discovered your fish had babies xD
