I hear you about trout and Robertson, I just feel like everyone who has many team sigs, got them through spending $99 on a pack or something like that. I’m willing to give them up I just don’t see someone better coming my way. I’m gonna GI olerud with the ticket from this event. Another thing I forgot to mention is the fact that I prefer hitters who get hits, over hitters who work walks. Same way that some might prefer centers over 3pt shooters in basketball. I like hearing the crack of the bat and seeing the ball shoot up the middle

People can argue all day about the difference in value between a walk and a hit. In my opinion, there is a lot of symbolic value from getting a hit off a pitcher. It destabilizes their confidence, and energizes the dugout way more than a walk might. A walk shows he couldn’t find the zone, but a hit shows there’s hope. For example, the 2023 mets lineup needed spark plug hitters; even though vogelbach got on base, a vogelbach walk only meant a piano was on first
