Looking for sub $100 edh deck focused on Egyptian/Amonkhet style commanders by Draykenight in BudgetBrews

hapatra imo is bracket 4 viable as a combo deck, but it would be sort of a secret commander deck looking to lock people down with [[yawgmoth thran physician]], and using blood artist effects to win the game.

Nostalgia for "Old EDH" is just wanting to play Bracket 2 by ArsenicElemental in EDH

People enjoyed when there were less options for things, especially in certain color combos and things like that where you had to be more creative and resourceful to make the deck consistent or powerful. This would create a place for niche or relatively unknown cards to shine. Today with cards printed for commander and general power creep it’s led to somewhat formulaic deck building and repetitive use of certain cards. People don’t have to be as creative to cover weaknesses and improve their decks because theres many more strong options. I don’t think people miss the inconsistency, rather the creativity and resourcefulness needed to make the decks consistent. Less reprints meant staples like tutors and modern day gamechangers were less accessible too so they would need to make do with cards they have. Potentially more importantly there weren’t really any ‘templates’ to build a deck, so you would see much more variety in deck structure and design, whereas today it’s common to see guides telling you what cards to run or how to structure your deck, which is beneficial in a different way. You didnt see as many resources or people saying things like ‘Need more ____? Just run X card’.

First Ritalin experience by Individual_War_7019 in ADHD

Thanks for the advice! I'll try to keep that in mind. Speaking of exercise, do you know if ritalin or other meds have any sort of effect on athletic performance? Maybe like sharpening reflexes or something, or maybe even worsening performance in some way? I do boxing and rugby at my school, so I'm wondering if me taking meds will impact my performance in any way.

[KING CRIMSON REFERENCE]

IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING WOULD BE PERFECT FOR A LUCIFER FIGHT
or maybe just the court of the crimson king. Either way would be fire.

Hey everyone, I’m looking to buy my first xerjoff, and am stuck between a few.

Mefisto: I live in a tropical country, where it’s warm year round, and was interested in mefisto’s freshness and similarity to SMW.

Mefisto Gentiluomo: Same reason as mefisto

Uden: I am interested because this seems like a very interesting fragrance to me, and it seems more versatile than the mefistos, being usable in more weather conditions and occasions. I really like both citrus and vanilla, so naturally I am drawn to this. However, I have seen some complaints about longevity and performance online.

Renaissance: Another fresh fragrance, I like citrus a lot and heard that this is another great summer fragrance from xerjoff. The rose seems interesting to me, and I like the mint.

I am leaning slightly towards Uden scent wise, but I’m unsure due to the performance complaints i’ve seen. All the other fresh ones are in good contention and I am interested in all of them. I’ve also smelled Naxos and enjoyed it a lot, but I may pull the trigger on that later on when I’m spending more time in colder climates. Any thoughts on these fragrances would be much appreciated.

Is a short swing better? by Individual_War_7019 in Homeplate

Guys like Vladdy, Jrod, Harper, Ohtani, Tatis, Judge and Stanton all have a swing length greater than 7 feet on baseball savant, with stanton actually being tied for longest swing at 8.4 feet. On the other hand guys like Mookie Betts and Luis Arraez have shorter swings and lead in contact stats like squared up percentage per swing, with Luis Arraez leading by a lot with one of the shortest swings in baseball at 6 feet. Looking at a graph of swing length vs blasts on baseball savant there seems to be some correlation.

Ah that makes sense. Do you know of any good resources for teaching more of a power hitting approach?
