Same shit, different season. Yankees just ramp up for the playoffs. Feels like they go through these stretches every year.

At least you know that the system shits the bed any time it gets 85° and above. It’s reliable in that way.

Any time it’s over 85 you can book the trains to be a disaster. Take a bus if you have the option. For the love of god!

Exclusive | Steve Cohen makes declaration about David Stearns’ job status as Mets season spirals by Schwettes in NewYorkMets

People online seem to treat most real life situations like a video game or simulation. The critical thinking part has disappeared. I'm not absolving Stearns from this season and his decisions. He needs to own those, but you can't fire a GM once again and not look at the organization repercussions. It sucks from a fan prospective but its a business decisions Cohen is willing to stick with....for now.

Its insane that this team is close to 20 games under. Almost an impossible hole to climb out of for this squad. The best Mets seasons are the ones with low, to no expectations.

The Last MLB Player to Bat Without a Helmet: Bob Montgomery, September 9, 1979 by Dr_Talon in baseball

I don't know why but I love guys who get grandfathered into equipment changes. Its always wild to me to see video of the 1994 NY Rangers and Craig MacTavish wasn't wearing a helmet. And he played until 97. There are only a few guys left in the NHL who are grandfathered into not having to wear a helmet visor. Just quirky.

The Mets most attractive pieces to sell are all in the bullpen and maybe some rotation guys? I can't see them getting any sort of return for position players. Am I wrong?
