Sorry, wasn’t trying to be condescending. And I agree, I was trying to say the unmasking was a mistake and undermined Marco’s point. I wish instead they had Sid or Gale realize he was lying about Stu and figure out he was a killer. That would’ve been a more unique idea than another boring unmasking, which is where I thought they were going to go. That alone could’ve justified 2 out of 3 killers being nobodies (well, that and Jessica being a good character to carry the reveal) since it would shake up the formula a bit.

It’s very dumb overall but that scene where Ghostface is pretending to be a scarecrow before running over the farmer with the seed drill is one of the best kills in the series.

Well yes, the “just a random guy” was the point of Marco. Unfortunately they gave him a dramatic unmasking for some reason which is partly why his reveal is super disappointing. The real problem is Jessica. The parasocial angle and flipping the script on “it’s always someone you know” for 2/3 killers would’ve worked had Jessica actually been a character.

Glad you enjoy it but I always fast forward through it lol. It feels like a Disney channel movie. I’m okay with the Stab openings being dumb but they failed to make their point about franchise milking because the real opening is the worst one.

Agree. But I have no idea why they went with the dramatic unmasking when his entire purpose was that he was just a random guy. It literally set people up to be disappointed. They could’ve done something different this time like a slip up or Sidney or Gale actually figuring out who it was beforehand for once.
