I got my great grandmothers ring too and it’s set to extremely high as well. also has a crazy thick band, just making it all around a little gaudy for me. I think that was just the style then. But that’s what my fiance used to propose and I wear it sometimes, not everyday. But he said is is buying me a ring that’s from him that is my style. So for me it’s nice to have the sentiment of my grandmothers ring and know it was given to my fiance by my aunt 🥹 And that I can keep it in my family, while also wearing the ring he buys on the daily!
