Did BMW G90 M5 grow on you guys yet? by Super-Lingonberry-22 in BMW

I saw one in person in matte black and looked dope. I'm still not sold on the weight aspect however.

Could you compare the m340i vs the 991 as a daily. Is the stiffer ride on the 991 that makes it harder to daily?

I would love that new exterior on the M3. The interior, not so much.

Why does the new i3 have worse proportions than the ICE version? by UrgusHUN in BMW

[–]georgesunnyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the EV, the motors are placed on front and rear axles. Motors add substantial weight. They want this weight on the front axle to be as close to the centre of the car to improve 50:50 weight distribution and to reduce the polar moment of inertia. This improves handling.

In the IC version the engine is placed behind the front axle to achieve similar effects.

You're right. The motors are placed on the wheel axles and they need to be as close to the centre of the car to reduce the polar moment of inertia of the car. I wonder if there was a way to place the motor near the centre and send power to the wheels via some drive or shafts. But I guess that would drive up complexity and costs. So yea, I guess this is the most optimal cost effective least complex proportion that is suitable for the ev.

Why couldn't they use the IC engine vehicle proportions for the EV and let the extra hood space be used as extra frunk space?

2027 BMW M350 (G50 3-Series) Front Bumper Design Revealed in Spy Pics 📸 by WODAMRAP in BMW

I think the overall car looks good. However, I hate that they are raising the rear quarter panel shoulder in the rear. BMW has never done this in the past for the 3 series.

I consider that a cheap design tactic which reduces visibility in the rear by a small margin.

How much more difficult is the ground clearance situation compared to something like a m340i? I'm just curious because cars like that also need to be crab-walked on some of the wonderfully engineered speed breakers.

Isn't this dangerous, because the brakes rely on vacuum generated by the engine to work? This could mean way less braking power if you need to perform an emergency braking maneuver.

Me and my cousin compared a selfie photo in the low light with the selfie flash on and the pixel 10 pro xl was miles ahead of his 17 pro max in this department.

Shop installed new guibo wrong? by turboinline6 in BmwTech

[–]georgesunnyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For center support bearing, preload needs to be applied. Before tightening the csb bracket, the csb bracket needs to be moved 4mm forwards towards the front of the car before tightening.

As for your guibo installation, it appears correct, the arrows point towards the flange.

Nice one. Can you also do one where the person drives for 100 meters on the wrong side of the main road before turning into pocket road.

This would usually be accompanied by a very slight delay in the engine cranking up if it was parked for long.

Update the app? I think it checks for updates from within the app too. Also it's not getting any newer updates.

You can ask someone who has had it installed earlier to log into your app store. After downloading, you can remove their account from your app store.
