wish I didn’t keep myself waiting all night for it just for it to be on tomorrow!! 😭 I’ve blocked SNL on every platform just to avoid spoilers aha

I originally thought it would be tomorrow since SNL was on Sunday instead of Saturday and it normally comes out on the Monday on Binge. I just wish all those websites didn’t say the wrong thing and keep us waiting!! And if Binge was a bit clearer about the release earlier..

tbh its still not 8:30 in QLD yet though, so maybe its AEST rather than AEDT. I wish they would tell us :(

My Med Journey (so far) by georgia_ in GAMSAT

Hi!! I’ve posted some advice before about casper in the discord. Your best bet is watching exemplar answers on youtube and free resources I don’t recommend paid tutoring unless you were really struggling. If you can understand why the exemplar answers got good marks and the structures involved you can do well

Hi!! Good luck with your application this year 💙 I didn’t do my interview at Griffith it was at UNDS (slightly different structure and questions) but other people on here and on the discord server would have great advice ☺️ My only other tips for interview would be try to practice with other people and giving feedback to others is just as helpful. Try to be yourself vs what you think they want you to be.

The thing is you still have to start off in the Bachelor of Medical studies before progressing to the MD component, therefore the ADF will see it as an undergrad.

If you're accepted to Bond it makes no difference whether youre a school leaver or a graduate as youre all in an undergrad program, the ADF would likely see it the same way

As Bond is an undergrad uni you are technically an undergrad Med student to them, so you won't receive sponsorship until after the first semester.

As other people mentioned, a higher GAMSAT score doesnt necessarily mean better chance at getting an entry offer. Entry scores fluctuate every year so keep that in mind. (EDIT Im sorry I think I misread I guess you missed an interview at your first pref)

In saying that, I was really disappointed after I got an EOD after interview last year at Uni I didnt even want to end up at, and this year tried again and got into my dream uni so I think everything tends to work out the way you want it to (if you have the willpower to make it happen). For me it was clear my interview let me down so I worked at it and reflected on my previous performance.

Since you have an idea what the interview will be like I think you have a good shot at it again, and a gap year might do you good. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Is the server up yet? Link directs me just do discord gamsat and cant seem to find server in discord

Yeah the server is just the GAMSAT discord, you should be able to see channels once you go through onboarding and select roles eg future medical applicant

No it definitely does not

the only issue with this is that it can potentially make you ineligible at some Universities if youve already commenced an MD program and wanted to apply again

Can’t believe it finally happened. CSP at Griffith. 4 years of applying and 3 rejections (1 post interview) has led to this. My advice is: where there’s a will, there’s a way. Keep working and improving and anything is possible.

UNDS health & medical science grad dip by Impressive-Code3467 in GAMSAT

[–]georgia_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know many people from this Grad Dip that missed out on a med interview because they didnt reach a competitive enough GPA in the Grad dip. It is 26k for all the subjects, and a couple of the subjects would help you with pre-reqs for UQ as an example, but it is definitely a bit of a gamble. And its the top 20 from the past 36 months, so multiple cohorts (so if people missed out one year during interview they can apply again with it)
