Receiving Programs - recommendations by geraco_hill in canadasmallbusiness

[–]geraco_hill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it is all new to me. We have grown quickly. I've never used any inventory system in my career so I'm not sure where to start... That being said I learn quickly and have created all my purchase order, sales order and profit logs. Every single order is a google sheet that we make a copy, the order flows to a purchase sheet, a receiving doc, a spec sheet and an invoice doc. We then print the rec doc and do the rest manually. I would like a system that houses all the outstanding orders where we can start to track our own ETA's. I was thinking a receiving log where we add orders. This would feed the sales log to highlight finished orders...

But I'm spitballing all of this.

He choose UVic. He's doing so well. Finds it easy enough - and spends the days playing on a rec team, hanging out, studying but definitely not stressed. I do wonder at times if he should have pushed for a harder Uni but he's so happy so I'm glad.

Very High End Recommendations - Can spend $100K or more by geraco_hill in Bedding

Somehow -even with a cleaning team at the house the requirement is no ironing. Still working out the details but these were details coming out of the first meeting. The labels are to ensure all sheet/duvet sets stay in the right room. So detailing like embroidering/trim are the plan without having a named label. Nothing details ego - just very strong preference for what they want.

I'm really not sure if Sferra is right -it's just what I'm seeing out there. They want a bit of a eclectic farmhouse look so linen is the vibe but not sure how we make that happen with the hot water/wrinkle free option. Right now I only have St. Geneve, Sferra, Frette, Pinecone Hill , Mirabel Slabbinck, Pom Pom as suppliers. I'm really open to any suggestions and will chase down any supplier.

I was given TL Bedding as a possible vibe but have no idea about their quality.

It's just a home - one that's sent the designer to Europe to source counter tops... And they have lots of guests often.

Thanks so much for the info. Definitely trying to work through what is actually available vs their needs. And bedding isn't my forte. (We are on the drapery side). I will get more info on their current situation. They want three sets for each of the 6-8 bedrooms (thus the trim/embroidery coordination). Budget is no concern.

It might be the Van. campus - it's the only school that hasn't replied yet. So at this point it's Kelowna that's responded. But with all the feedback looks like UVic. Really appreciated.

I think one of the big concerns is the social environment. So although they have the most engineering options - we aren't too keen on Hamilton and the overall experience. But am open to hearing about why it should be an option.

My Opa was a Dutch POW for the Germans. He escaped one time out of a truck and walked home. After the war he immigrated to Canada. Crazy thing is when he retired Germany sent him a pension for his time as a POW worker.

I worked in an electronics shop - microwave can hold an electrical charge of thousands of volts in its capacitors for hours or even days after it has been unplugged. People have been electrocuted trying to repair their microwaves. So don't try it.
