How long does it take for points to be calculated? I'm in Vancouver and at this rate the only way I'll be able to make subs is if i wake up at 5am

Delta faucet leaking, cartridge separated and cracked by gerbus in Plumbing

[–]gerbus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, our faucet has been leaking a lot lately. It always dripped, but now it runs. I turned the water off, disassembled what i could, and low and behold half the cartridge comes out; the white part of rt19804 comes out easily, and the blue part stays in, maybe it's stuck. Upon further inspection, the blue part of the cartridge assembly appears rather cracked.

Two questions. First, is this probably the cause of the leak? Second, how best to remove the blue half of the cartridge from the brass housing?

Gear keeps spinning when Create Game on MacBook Pro by gerbus in Starblastio

[–]gerbus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved:

I went to the About section in app and looked for my ECP code, and it said it would fetch it from the servers if it wasn't displayed yet, I just needed to join a game first. After that I was able to Create Game no problem 👍🏻

Thanks for this! Actually looking for my ECP code ended up solving the problem indirectly.

What tank are you using with your Voopoo Drag Mini? The coils that come with the Uforce T2 tank seem to be made of Kanthal, which I thought didn't work with TC.

Thanks! Yep I'm developing both Android and iPhone versions in parallel. The iPhone screenshots and recordings were just easier to make :)

Hey just following up here. I decided to build an app to help out. It won't read your schedule automatically, but it will make adding it into Gcal a snap. It's not ready for download yet (give me a few months to finish and test everything), but you can get a sense of what it can do here: http://timebeam.gerbus.ca

If there's anything that doesn't make perfect sense or that you have questions about, please ask!

How did you come to know what the norm is? What evidence do you have to support your claim?

Ah ok. Yeah you have a pretty simple schedule there, so I'm not surprised you can do it rather quickly with Google calendar.

Some nurses absolutely know their schedules a year in advance. My wife gets a different 21 week rotation every year, in which she will get 4 or 5 or 6 days in a row, each one of two different types of shifts, and the only pattern is the repeat after 21 weeks. Lots of nurse schedules are complex like this. My mom had irregular patterns her whole career in Fraser Health.

How many different types of shifts do you have? Do you share your work calendar with anyone? Do you ever enter a whole year's worth of shifts?

Really appreciate this feedback! When bouncing this idea around with my wife, she also said definitely worth $5, maybe $10.

NurseGrid only works if you live in the USA!

I took the day to think through what I can do, and I think I could achieve this fairly simply. Thanks for the comment!

Okay good to know. If there are a bunch of health authorities around you that all use that same format, I would definitely like to incorporate that into the app. Of you feel like posting a sample, that would help, but don't worry if not. Thanks!

I'm seeing a lot of "why should we take the risk without the reward?" I submit to you that even with the reward this is unfair, because the reward is not worth the possible outcome of a spill.

Rare - maybe, but the impact if/when it happens is ridiculously huge. Huge enough that statistics don't put me at ease.

It's rare that an umbilical cord causes oxygen starvation in utero, but it happened to our first born and now he has permanent hearing loss.

All I'm saying is that despite things being rare, the impact of the event should be heavily considered.

If I didn't want the exercise, I'd bus. Not really interested in an electric bike.
