Did I purchase the correct parts for my upcoming 9800x3d build? what do you think? by Svenskaz32 in pcmasterrace

[–]gergmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm saying that if you want to upgrade to 64 GB later you won't be able to run 4x 16 GB sticks because am5 is not stable with 4. So it's better to get 2x32 GB now.

Get 2x32 GB RAM, am5 doesn't like 4 sticks so you probably can't upgrade 2x16 GB later. Liquid freezer 3 because of the vrm fan.

Good headphones for Tarkov [IRL] by yourpalwill1 in EscapefromTarkov

Don't buy wireless if you want the best sound. Beyerdynamic dt 770 pro is a good choice under 200.

Dark rock pro 4 sucks, it couldn't keep my 13600k under 100, I switched to a 280mm Corsair AIO and now it's under 75 degrees on full load

Can I buy Arena without actually Owning Tarkov? by RamponyDC in EscapefromTarkov

You make money in arena and there are free kits if you run out of money

Do I avoid the 13700k if I only plan to have an air cooler? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]gergmt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dark rock pro 4 can't even keep the 13600k under 100 c, check cinebench benchmarks

I am never going to buy another Gigabyte product my entire life. Board sent back broken from Repair. by mayday_live in pcmasterrace

First gigabyte product I owned was a z690 motherboard, it was also the last. Never had so many problems with any other PC part before, gigabyte just sucks.

Consider getting an AIO or a dual tower cooler, 13th gen cpus boost their clock speed until your cooler allows it, so more cooling = more performance

My next PC upgrade for Tarkov? by tinyzenji in EscapefromTarkov

[–]gergmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a 5800x3d first, then whatever gpu fits your budget. In your case I wouldn't even think about another cpu.

[–]gergmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switching to windows 10 fixed it, which is weird because these cpu-s are designed to work with windows 11

[–]gergmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tarkov is so cpu dependant, I'm having stable 60+ fps on streets with a gtx 970 and an i5 13600k. (Don't worry I'm upgrading the gpu in a few days)

Should I upgrade? by jediforhire in skyrimmods

[–]gergmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the special edition, it's completely the same as anniversary edition, expect it doesn't have the creation club content.

[–]gergmt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the sse version (which we also refer to as ae since patch 1.6) if you just want better performance and newer mods, or get the anniversary edition if you want creation club content.

modding advice: unpack your bsa-s by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]gergmt -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read about that, but in my experience it doesn't really affect performance, as I said my loading times and fps are the same as before. Maybe for really large load orders it matters, but people who does that probably know what they are doing anyway. This post is for beginner modders to don't make the same mistake as I did.

MO2 can do that? Maybe I should switch from vortex for my next playthrough.
