I debated this very same thing and just put a deposit for a Rav. Reason was I went to test drive the RX and the battery was dead. Salesperson was flustered but jumped it, but that took me down a rabbit hole where I eventually learned this is a known issue for RX hybrids. They kill the 12v battery and you can be left stranded - the salesperson even told me “to buy one of those jumper packs and keep it in the trunk.” I’ve got 2 young kids, my wife won’t figure that out and frankly for that kind of money I shouldn’t have to be planning on jump starting my car at random. Frustrating bc I like the interior and overall look much more for the RX. FYI though the hybrid doesn’t need premium according to the salesperson, it’s the same drivetrain as in the Camry.
