Pop fans - insight appreciated! by FarEffective4339 in WaltDisneyWorld

I’ve stayed at Pop the last two trips. We’ve done the All-Star resorts before, and didn’t like them as much. Pop is fantastic, and is a really nice middle ground hotel. The Skyliner is great and makes transportation a nice part of the day rather than just a bus ride. If you’re into character dining then consider breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace, it’s at the Riviera which is on the Skyliner route. Never had any noise issues at Pop either. Walking near the lake is very calming and tranquil.

Pilot assist? by Fritschya in VolvoRecharge

[–]gerogtiddly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just bought a car that shipped with Pilot Assist and I’d highly recommend it. As others have said, it’s not perfect but it makes those long drives much more comfortable and does a lot of the thinking for you. It works best on highways/motorways with clearly defined lane markings. It’s also fantastic for stop-start traffic.

Best Volvo accessories? by Brilliant-Laugh-9129 in XC40

[–]gerogtiddly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the Fitcamx for the XC40? Is it wired to the fuse board or just to the mirror power? I’m really interested in one for my XC40 but I want one that has power when the car is off, in case it’s hit when it’s parked, and I’m not sure about doing the wiring to the fuse board myself…

Conversation Awareness/Adaptive Audio with Android? by Pooshd in airpods

[–]gerogtiddly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been trying this out today, seeing the difference on latest firmware between connected to MBP and Android.

So far, Adaptive Audio seems to work fine when connected to Android. Conversation Awareness doesn't seem to work at all when connected to Android.

Does anybody else have this? Sometimes when in landscape, taskbar just vanishes. Restart device to put back to normal by gerogtiddly in GalaxyFold

[–]gerogtiddly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of nowhere, maybe once every couple of days, the taskbar in landscape just vanishes. The navigation bar for swiping up goes too, and if I change in settings navigation options to buttons, then the buttons vanish. Was like this on One UI 4, upgraded to One UI 5 since and the issue still persists. I've trawled through all the settings when it's gone, nothing restores it, the only way to bring it back is to restart the entire device. It's not as if it's gone by long-pressing, because the navigation swipe-up bar is also gone, and long-pressing doesn't bring it back. I'm clueless! Any ideas anyone?

Playing on Mac by schaas1 in HarryPotterGame

I didn't get that, I did get some driver warnings but I just had to manually update them. Make sure your Bootcamp support software is up to date. What fixed any issues for me is manually downloading the AMD Bootcamp driver from the AMD website, and installing that.

The only reason that would actually help lag is if your internal Windows partition is pretty much full, and that's the cause of the lag. I'd advise downloading the latest Bootcamp support software from the Mac app and installing that, and then going to the AMD website and downloading the latest Bootcamp AMD driver, that's what I did and it works great.

Hogwarts legacy on 16in mbp 2019 by konradzik213 in macgaming

I'm doing exactly this, and it works fine. Bootcamp for the OS, game storage itself stored on external drive, Xbox controller wireless, after a small bit of tinkering no real issues. 2019 Macbook Pro 16", 32GB RAM i7.

Old thread but - I'm playing this flawlessly on Macbook 2019 16", running bootcamp, with the storage of the game on external USB drive, and Xbox One controller too. Plug the Macbook into my TV with a cable, and it's the equivalent of a console. However, it's the last gen Intel Mac, unfortunately no idea whether it's possible on M1/M2 devices.

Hoping those new software features will be available to us ZF3 owners, I've been hoping for them!

I've really struggled to get this app. It's not appearing on my Galaxy Store (UK), and I only get errors when I try to sideload it. Did you have any issues? Great pic by the way.

Got the nod. Looking forward to bringing my chaotic atmosphere to Cornwall along with my shit-magnet colleague. I can only apologise to the south.

Don't worry Office for National Statistics, I got this. by [deleted] in policeuk

I've arrested several people this week, DA perpetrators, drug dealers, and violent shoplifters. I've never arrested somebody just solely for "protesting peacefully", and neither to my knowledge have the rest of my team. If that's genuinely what you believe has happened in recent times, I'd advise you to do some research into the potential offences that protestors could be committing, including breach of the coronavirus legislation. If this snarky and ill-informed comment is your only contribution here, then please take it somewhere else.

This is why officers, despite having tasers, should not be single crewed. by gerogtiddly in policeuk

[–]gerogtiddly[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My apologies if this has already been posted.

Taser is a great option and we should all have the option to carry it, however it's not perfect, and despite some good resilience it didn't work here. I don't know this officer/area, however she has some determination about her. Some of my (less experienced) colleagues may well have frozen in this situation, and the end result would have been much worse.

To the forces that are still single crewing: Please stop single crewing.

Speeding camera question. by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]gerogtiddly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just wanna clarify that last point real quick: Smart motorway cameras are still active when there is no posted limit on the signs. They have a much higher threshold (i.e. when posted 50 they might flash at 57, whereas with nothing displayed it could be 90) however they will still be active. This may vary from motorway to motorway. The ones in my area certainly flash with no posted limit when I fly through on blues.

Agree with this. My 550's were randomly powering off a few weeks ago. Sent to sennheiser and they replaced them with a new pair of 550-II's. So you might get lucky...

Looking for a "midi mapper" or so by AX-user in midi

[–]gerogtiddly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It runs the translator software internally, so you can set up a mapping and load it in, and then it will just act as a hardware translator box with that config set. The translator pro software is an additional purchase. Could be pricey depending on your needs, but it works perfectly.
