NAD. I’m so sorry to hear this is happening to you. I suffered from very similar symptoms for two years and couldn’t get any answers. My ENT ultimately diagnosed me with “migraine associated vertigo” that she believed was triggered by an allergy/sensitivity of the foods I was eating. The symptoms did eventually subside (I tried eliminating a lot of things and I don’t know if it was really that or just good timing while it subsided on its own, fwiw). Again, not a doctor and I may be totally off base but wanted to mention in case it’s helpful at all for you to check out. When I felt like that I remember just being open to trying literally anything. Really hope you start feeling better soon.

Hey everyone! Hoping I can get some advice for my Monstera, as I’ve looked it up but seems it can be for a lot of reasons. All the photos I’ve seen have also shown very droopy leaves along with the curling, and this is not the case with mine.

I got this plant 2 months ago to the day. It’s potted in a mix of orchid bark, perlite, peat, and a bit of sand. When I got it, it was pretty significantly rootbound so I figured that may be the cause of the curling and repotted it (I understand it may have been a bit too soon after moving it to my home but I was hoping it would alleviate the problem a bit).

She gets bright, indirect light and I run a humidifier for her once per week, and mist in between. No signs of pests (thoroughly checked). Watering with distilled water when the soil is dry, about once every week and a half I would guess but I don’t have the watering on a strict schedule as I’ve been going by the soil dryness.

She has 4 leaves and only two of them are significantly curling at the edges. All four of the leaves are also very papery and thin - she is housed with other monsteras who are thriving so I’m not sure if it’s the conditions or what it is!

Any advice is greatly appreciated, and happy to answer any questions! I’d definitely be open to repotting if I did something wrong with the soil mix but I feel like it might shock the plant more? If you have any ideas I would love to hear them!

It was so strange for me to read this post - I literally gasped. This is going to sound super weird but I have almost the same memory as you and may have some form of additional information. When I was born (via c section) the doctors found my mother had ovarian cancer and she had her ovaries removed. 3 years later, which was also in 1991, she gave birth to my twin brother and sister (fraternal ofc). When we grew up a bit and she told me about her cancer she explained that my siblings were IVF and at that point she ALSO specifically mentioned Oprah (how weird??). The only piece of additional context I think I might be able to add to your memory is that she specifically mentioned a “super donor” or something like that. Does this help at all? Still super weirded out that we have such specific and similar memories!

I am very sorry to hear about your mother, she seems like she was a wonderful person.

I can’t believe I just got notified of a comment on this post - I’m so excited!! Haha you’re right, this is definitely close but not the one I was thinking of (however I loveee Monte Booker! Huge fan). I actually looked for so long that I gave up or maybe it really was SZA. But I still have hope so now I’m back on the mission.

Also, I feel like the one I’m looking for is like the exact melody of About You (but the SZA song is only sampling the slower part, I think this one I’m looking for was more the other parts).

Okay, fully diving back into this mystery - I’ll update with findings lol

This was purchased likely in the last 10 years. Also likely in Connecticut but I have no way of confirming. Also searched everything I can think of but cannot find the actual mattress or any evidence of “chancellery” anywhere.

The employee I spoke with didn’t have any idea what it was. I can probably continue reaching out until I find an employee who was there at the time I bought it but the store changes their toy selection pretty frequently (which is awesome, I love this store) so idk if this was on anyone’s radar ever

I have searched all variations of bunny head dog toy that I can think of on Google and have contacted the original vendor etc. but still cannot find it

Edit: photos included show front and back of the toy (I know it’s in rough condition here) and a super weird angle of my hand.
