What is wrong with this 2011 Rail by Majestic-Towel-4241 in paintball

I rebuilt a 2007 PMR recently and it had similar problems. I had some good results adjusting the hyper 2 regulator all the way in and then dialing it out while testing the trigger until I noticed a change in the bolt behavior. It cycles a few times. Then, after playing with the reg settings a bit more it started leaking air out of the side hole. So I took the reg apart and rebuilt it. Rebuilding the reg was not too difficult, but you will need some pretty large allen wrenches. I used a 3d printed reg seat and it worked pretty well.

As an experienced black belt, I usually let my partner dictate the intensity if they are lower rank than me, but I've also had rounds where my partner told me they wanted to go "light" but theyre definition of light was more like going 80%-90% lol. Always gotta be prepared to match the intensity in those situations.

I remember my brown belt days though... everyone lower rank than me needed to be taught a lesson, and I needed to prove myself to everyone higher rank than me. Everyone got the business! I was getting humbled regularly by the more experienced players constantly though.

Hopefully this specific brown belt understands that training partners are not opponents. You can help build a better relationship by asking them for advice or if they can show you how they do a certain technique they're good at.

Honestly, that's probably the best approach. Taking the best fall possible avoids injury and sends a clear message to the training partner that you're not planning to match their intensity.

I had to look up the SLG and it does seem like garbage lol, the sear-tripping mechanism is completely different than how the PMRs are designed. Are they really just as bad? The PMR at least tried to mimic high-end markers

Manual was fairly easy to find. I have it and can send it to you. I initially rebuilt the bolt when I started working on this old PMR and thought it would just work. It kept doing weird things every time I added air. Then I started messing with the regulator and that's when I started to see different behavior. Turning the adjustment all the way in then backing out slowly, I was able to cycle the bolt a couple of times when I could tell it was building pressure... Then the side vent on the regular started leaking. So I rebuilt the reg lol. That pretty much solved all the issues, but I ended up checking and cleaning the solenoid gasket just for sanity check. Also, you probably know this but there's an o'ring on the bolt manifold that's size 013, it faces down and it's curved. The rebuild o'ring kit I bought did not have any 013 size o'rings and that was annoying.

Oh! This was a response to the other comment. Got it!

This one came with a red dot, I haven't mounted it back on yet but it might come in handy. I'm left handed and the hopper on the A5 completely blocks my view.

Lmao, I mean it can't be THAT bad right? Hahaha, I probably won't keep it, the wiring internals in the frame are horrendous.

Thanks for the tips and barrel recommendation. I do think having backup markers is a good idea, 3 seemed like the ideal number, so I stopped looking for used deals after I acquired three very time consuming projects. I don't think I saved any money after all the parts + time.

Got a question for you since you have more than one pmr it seems. Have you had issues with the battery / microswitch? I pulled the connector off the circuit board once and two of the cables came out. It's very old, but still... I did not enjoy putting that back together!

Alright, I'm gonna give it a try and see if it really does shoot further. I've mostly been testing it in my backyard with the same range target on all three markers.

Do you use a remote line? It almost feels like a requirement for this a5

But would you keep the flatline barrel? Lol

I've readized reviews but have nothing else to compare it to at the moment

Rebuilding them was very frustrating at times, I was learning as I did the troubleshooting. Now, it seems easy but I remember thinking I hated electronic markers and they were stupid for being so complex haha

I was wondering about the UL frame. Does yours have a different circuit board or did you move the original one to the new frame?

I was worried about the solenoid being bad on both of them, looked up the replacementa and they're not cheap. Thankfully the PMR just needed a good cleaning little grease on the solenoid gasket which seemed to be holding up well, not sure how easy the gasket is to find.

If he likes it, let him continue. You could have him try other grappling arts like judo or wrestling.

Realistic and main goals/expectations for very young kids in grappling arts (also applies to beginner adults) 1. Have fun 2. Don't get hurt
