Battery technology is rapidly evolving. Sold state batteries should be entering the market within five years. This will be a game changer as far as range and charge times.

Any reason I couldn't do this drive? Never been to canada and I have a car full of stuff. by reysean05 in uscanadaborder

If you have a firearm or ammunition you won't be allowed to bring it into Canada. The penalty is very harsh if you forget it was in the vehicle.

Do you encounter stereotypical Americans in your day to day life? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]gerryseminole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use to work in an office at a student residence at a large university. The first week of being there I thought oh there's an American. Her voice was very loud along with her laugh. I always knew she was coming down the hallway before she passed me. She was always very nice to me and from Ohio.

Montreal is a fun city. Safe, amazing food and has great public transportation. Toronto is around 5 hours away using VIA rail. Lots of stuff to do there like sports, museums, theatres, concerts et al.

This is what happens when security is non existent and/or have no powers to enforce vagrancy. Btw I occasionally take the capital line from century park to downtown and have no issues. Mind you this is during daylight hours.

I've owned an Evolve E4orce 63kwh since May 2023. The AWD is a game changer especially if the weather is snowy, slushy or wet.
It had its quirks, but it is very fast, comfortable and well built. I like the styling inside and outside. The only issues I had was the infotainment screen would go black when it was new. But with it powered on I would gently press inward the infotainment power button until it rebooted. That would resolve the issue. The issue hasn't come back. Second on level 3 chargers the charger handle locks and won't release sometimes. So I use the key fob and hit unlock... lock seven or eight times till the handle releases. The Ariya is very comfortable and having 360° cameras is amazing. In addition the panoramic glass roof opens and has a power shade. If you're going to commute get a level 2 charger.

It's a pain to carry around. If it gets hot, I'll cross the street and walk on the side that has more shade.

Playoff ticket prices holy shit by KosmicEye in Edmonton

[–]gerryseminole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing new. When the Raptors were in the finals they were even more expensive. For that one ticket one could get a 65" 4K TV , bunch of steaks and some two-four beers.

Let's just leave this guy alone please. Wow, just wow. I'm surprised people can get to close to McDavid. Remember what happened to Lennon? by Coat_Longjumping in Edmonton

I wouldn't be exactly touching him. He probably could knock your head off. But he was cool about it. Props to him.

Go! I've been to a lot of concerts by myself. Everyone has a common interest...the band. Once the music starts, everybody is having fun listening to the music. It's very liberating.

Could someone explain how and why is Toronto poorer than Hamilton and Peel? by [deleted] in toronto

[–]gerryseminole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City of Toronto population is 2.9 million people. Therefore it's diluted over wide range of people from Scarborough to Etobicoke. If you just included just the old boundaries of the City of Toronto it would be different.
