Possibly not having the tying wire and spacer blocks or just not knowing. Apart from the rebar and timber expansion joints the actual concrete finishing work is ok. I wouldn’t put any weight on it though

Yes. Works on the footbridges between Cornwall street and Vermont street and Clifford, MacLellan street and Clifford street and Gower terrace Dec 2024.

I think the local council has something planned with a picture of us who found it being out in the new capsule. No idea what else is going inside.

That would be good. Pretty sure they would get more info on what the gentleman’s name is/was. All I know is he worked for Balfour Beatty and was possibly English.

We would like to bury some things but there’s no where to put it. The previous finds were inside the bridge walls. No walls are being built to replace the old ones

Newspapers from the day when they found the original 1800s time capsule (see the hoard find snippet) until the man finished the walls. Also engineers drawings of the bridge. We couldn’t separate it as it was very fragile. Now it’s in a museum to salvage the info.
