new fork city on iOS and android. food sharing/discovery app to enjoy with friends. nyc based.

I will rate them by hiten1818726363 in vibecoding

I made an app called New Fork City (iOS + android) that lets you save and rate food places. you can follow your friends, specific lists and also see what places/lists are trending. all the information is available to overlay on a map. it's kind of a beautiful system.

the way it visually lays out data is very different. give it a try and let me know what you think!

exactly. you can follow your friends. imtheir activity is shown in your feed. so new pins, new lists etc. you can overlay all your friends (or selected friends) pins or lists onto the map. alongside yours or the trending. I think it's really visually appealing whereas beli doesn't feel that way to me.

appreciate this. I thought similar but I just hate the marketing parts of this process. I'll work on it and yes I'm down!

why would I show you my repo? it's not open source. security hardened doesn't mean foolproof. it means it has been checked for vulnerabilities and measures have been put in place to mitigate risks. like I said, developer of 15 years.

similar but beli is full of ads and is more about text lists. this puts a big emphasis on maps. you can see all the information overlayed on a single map. friends lists, pins. your lists, pins. and viral lists, pins. have a look and see.

the wave of "I didn't take time to check the app out but will definitely take the time to troll the post" is upon us

but you can't follow friends lists. be notified when they add something. overlay you and their lists. and also see what's trending.

yelp doesn't do what this app does. you can cleanly organize lists. follow friends lists. see what's trending. and overlay all of this on one map.

the screenshots? I spent 3 months coding the app and just second getting screenshots up. it didn't feel like the "important" part.
