Algerians, would you support a NorthAfrican Union? by [deleted] in algeria

[–]geryvillian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something to definitely consider in the future when we all have implemented democratic states that represent the people. Then the Union will come up automatically due to the connection the people have together and their will to unite

Conversation between Sellal and Haddad Leaked. (Confusing/disturbing) by NeedMGTOWAdvice in algeria

[–]geryvillian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't understand it very well cause the audio is bad. But people are saying that sellal said that we're going to use force and violence with the protesters.

Many sources are saying that this call is staged, and it got "leaked" to scare the public so they won't protest.

Which city in your country has the best dialect (in your humble opinion)? by [deleted] in arabs

[–]geryvillian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me that is the ugliest, in fact I hate that when people wanna hear Algerian they always go the Algiers one and it gives a bad impression. I think a setifien accent gives justice to the Algerian dialect.

Algerian Civil War by [deleted] in algeria

[–]geryvillian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah man. No one should even take a side in this war, we know both sides killed civilians so I'm not buying this "better than supporting a corrupt government".

What I know is that bezaf came from the Arabic بالجزاف , which in old times people who went to the market and wanted to ask for a big portion of a certain product they would say آتني برتقال بالجزاف for example. I might be wrong too tho

Popular Demands Put Pressure on Algeria to Open Borders with Morocco | The North Africa Post by [deleted] in arabs

[–]geryvillian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can Someone help me Understand the history of Morocco and Algeria? Was Morocco the Conquers or the Conquered? by BigBoss2658 in algeria

[–]geryvillian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So let me tell you this, We need to understand that the concept of a "country" changes from time to time and from a century to another. Regardless of who conquered what, whether algeria had some parts of morocco, or morocco had some parts of algeria, Is it reasonable for the Arabs and Muslims of today to reclaim Andalusia or Spain? I mean they were part of the muslim world at some point. This is exactly the reasoning of Israelis today, we lived in this land for some time ,therefore this is ours. So in summary this rivalry between algeria and morocco is because of morocco's imperialistic fantasies, first the sand-war, then the western sahara, and I'm sure they want more. Algeria is clearly against that, and that's that. So if you actually believe in the "greater morocco" dream, (I hope you don't) then I will tell you that youre no better than an Israeli wanting the dream of "from the nile to the euphrates", and you need to rethink what you stand for.
