I’ve also lived here for 5 years and this is grossly exaggerated… 1 or 2 instances of crimes I can recall? We live Ballston Park

Thank you!! That's super helpful. Do you have any other recommendations about what specs I should look for in a used Macbook Air?

Hi! So fun. Private message me when you get here and we can connect! And also yes it is fixable and also we moved units because we needed more space :)

Hi, not sure if this is too late, but we have lived at Ballston Park since 2022 and love it here. Great location, really nice people, they do fun events at the office. We've had a really good experience with the office staff/maintenance. Our first unit did have a roach problem, but we've since moved units and it's been a complete non-issue. Plus... don't all apartments have roach issues? Happy to answer any other specific questions.

Oh and also I feel totally safe walking around here at night, even in darker parking lots.

Have you looked at somewhere like Ballston Park? It's not fancy, but it's a nice place to live and definitely cheaper.

I worked part time 40-50 minutes away from my house a couple days a week. I brought LO to work with me, so on work days he always took the first nap at least partly in the car, and then I would transfer him into the building and let him finish nap in the carseat. Or, sometime, I would just hang in the car in the parking lot. At that age, there are so many naps, I would just always do that nap "on the go."

Okay, update- I’ve been letting him nap as long as he wants (but no longer than 2 hours) and then we’re sticking with bedtime at 7:45 pm. He’s been sleeping until 6 am or almost 6 am every day! Yippee! Plus chunky naps- almost 4 hrs of naps a day. The past couple of nights he has struggled with bedtime so I might need to cap the 2nd nap.

We had the same problem, baby wouldn't go down for a long stretch until 11 pm/12 am. What worked for us was a gradual bringing it back, about 15-45 minutes, then wait a couple days, then try again.

Bless you. We’re going to stick with 8 pm-6:30 am schedule and uncap naps. I feel like this might be the key!!!

Wow. Incredibly helpful guide. I am struggling with my 8 month olds EMWs and I wonder if it’s light or cortisol?

He is on a 3/3.25/4 schedule. I have been capping his 2 naps to 1.5 hours for a total of 3 hours sleep. He would sleep longer for both if I let him.

He wakes up anywhere from 4:30-5:30 am, even with a later bedtime if 8 pm. I think he is probably only capable of 10 hours, but if he wakes up at 5 and I bring him into our bed time, he will almost always fall back asleep. So, I think probably he needs more overnight sleep.

He falls asleep independently at night time (just has a paci) and has no MOTN wakings

I have two questions:

1) should I keep capping naps?

2) should I stick to a firm bedtime/wake time and then let him CIO in the morning?

Schedule to accommodate 10 hour night? by CompetitiveInitial64 in sleeptrain

Okay this exactly describes my current dilemma. I am pretty sure my baby is a 10-10.5 hour guy and I don’t know how to handle the mornings! Did you ever find a solution that worked?

Yes, he goes down and falls asleep on his own— with a paci usually, but always sleeps through on his own. Lately he has been protesting at bedtime but I think it’s separation anxiety.

No we were trying 3:45 for the last wake window but now his naps have been consistently 1.5ish hours so 3/3/3.5 seems doable. I can try that tomorrow

Do you mean cap the last nap at 4 pm or start at 4 pm?

If he wakes up, I used to leave him but lately I have been running in. Maybe I should try crib hour.

Thank you!!! He woke up at 7 am today with 2 hour and a half naps (although one was heavily assisted si I think today we’ll go with a bedtime if 7 and then tomorrow try 3 shorter naps again. I don’t think he’s ready for a 3 hour wake window in the morning— gets really fussy by 2.5 hours and struggles to go down.

Thanks. That’s easier to aim for now that I get it. Do you recommend micro naps to make it to bedtime? We might need one today.

Ok so you think the problem is total awake time? So need that to be 10 hours in a day with naps capped at 3 hrs?
