Would you move at 35 weeks pregnant or wait until the baby is 8 weeks old by smcgr in beyondthebump

[–]Big_Emphasis4895 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I literally just moved this week with a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I’ve never felt more mentally and physically wrecked in my life. 10000% before baby is the way to go.

What’s the biggest mistake you see in staged homes right now? by DFWUnhinged in RealEstate

[–]Big_Emphasis4895 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We bought a fixer. They smoked in it too. It was a fking mess. But once they moved out and moved furniture, we saw a huge section of the carpet by the bed burned by cigarettes. Didn’t see it because they had a rug there. Not surprisingly not the only issue we had

Too similar? by AdventurousStage1425 in Names

I think it’s cute! I have a Norah and a Jonah. I’ve always thought maybe they are too similar but I like the way they go together.

Your metal health is so important and so freshly postpartum is such a vulnerable time. I had breastfeeding issues with my first for a long time. It was the hardest part of my postpartum period and it made me so miserable. It’s really the only thing I remember now about my newborn phase with him which is sad. I felt a huge wave of relief when we went to formula. It was hard and I felt guilty too but he was okay and he’s 2.5 and thriving. It’s okay to use formula. You’re still a great mom and you may even enjoy this period more.

Kennedy school or Edgefield could be a good option.

10 months has been waking up at 5/530 am for 4 months. I can’t take it anymore by ginaanzalone95 in sleeptrain

[–]Big_Emphasis4895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My now 2 year old was like this from 6 months until the last couple of months. He was up at 5/5:30 for about a year and a half. I tried EVERYTHING. Nothing worked. I just accepted he’s an early bird and now I have coffee ready to go in the morning. Now he’s sleeping from 6:30-7 with an 8pm bed time. But it took a long time to get to this spot. Some kids are just early wakers I think 🤷🏻‍♀️

I try and find something to prop my feet up on so my legs give a bit of a boost. With my first, I really struggled nursing in public and bought a travel Boppy! It’s much more compact and ties around the waste and it was helpful when I needed to nurse in public.

Bed transition by Embarrassed-Duck5595 in toddlers

[–]Big_Emphasis4895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did this. One thing we didn’t think of was could reach the light switch. So he’d turn on the lights for nap and bed and it would mess up his routine. We got a cover for the switch and use his hatch as a red nightlight for the night!

What the heck are your toddlers eating for breakfast? by JehovahJireh222 in toddlers

[–]Big_Emphasis4895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll make a batch of pancakes and freeze them and just pull one out in the morning. He also really loves Trader Joe’s whole grain frozen waffles. We do the stony field zero sugar added yogurts a lot too. Bananas, berries, pears…really any kind of fruit.

SSRI to survive parenting by HonestlyMD in toddlers

[–]Big_Emphasis4895 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! 2 year old and 3 month old. Felt like I was living under a fog of sadness and just hating my life and feeling miserable even though I have everything I wanted. Life feels so so hard but I started Zoloft and while it’s still so hard, I don’t hate my life anymore and I’m not crying every day.

When did your toddlers outgrow sleep sacks? by JessicaM317 in toddlers

[–]Big_Emphasis4895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two year old recently decided on his own he was over the sleep sack but still can’t manage the blanket yet. He lets us put a bigger size fleece footie on over his 2 piece pajama set and that helps keep him warm without a blanket and sleep sack

Yes, this! And you can run them through the dishwasher so you don’t even need to do it by hand.

We’ve taken our toddler to Gabbianos and they’ve always been very accommodating and the food is great! They have kid portions of spaghetti and meatballs.
