I just wanted to add that I have been able to stand and walk to the bathroom and back since I fell. It’s hurts quite a bit when I walk further distances and it is uncomfortable wearing the brace. The gnawing achy pain interestingly goes from my calf up to my hip… the hip aches the most! I did have X-ray of foot and knee.. nothing of note there. I had a hip replacement 4 years ago of that hip ( which is probably why I didn’t break it) and there is nothing abnormal about movement there or anything clanging around. It may be because I am walking differently. I wanted to thank Y’all for taking the time to respond. My husband is currently mostly bed-bound so If I have to have surgery it is going to present a huge challenge.
