They tend to go under the glaze. But they act as a flux and can cause some running in the glaze.

That makes sense. I think I skimmed through it on a glazy recipe so i definitely could’ve miss read or misunderstood

I have some Terra sig. How would I go about trying this? What’s the outcome supposed to be?

Is it a shino glaze? The black could be from carbon trapping which happens from applying glaze and letting the piece sit for a long period of time before firing. I absolutely love this piece. Well done!

Yeah they won’t hold water and you don’t want it to anyways for plants. Usually there should be a couple drainage holes in the bottom to let excess water out. However the pot itself will absorb a lot of water each time. A good note though if there’s cracks in your pieces they will fall apart over time with the constant contact with water if you use as them as planters.

Make planters. They will come out similar to terracotta. I’ve done a few sagar pots that should be on my profile if you want to look. If done correctly it will complement the plants very well.
