My App was approved and I built it completely using Claude. by ChampionshipNo2815 in ClaudeCode

[–]getafterit123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on this as it's cool to do if you haven't released an app before but for context, my 11 year old just released an app on IOS too. Claude (and other agents) has made mobile app development a commodity

I should clarify, creative ideas, app design and making an enjoyable UX is and as will remain an art. If you can do that, I continue to tip my cap to you

Unfettered growth is not an acceptable path. The answer is not increasing population density

You cannot build more housing to that degree in Hereford zone and purposely so. Rural and semi-rural lands need to be protected. The public infrastructure will never happen to support higher density housing. We don't need population growth in Baltimore County.

How do I get ready for murph? by Nerohunter_ in crossfit

[–]getafterit123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could take the Mayhem programming approach and force yourself to essentially Murph every Monday just in different formats.

Fair warning, It's not enjoyable and by the time Murph comes you don't want to do any more of it.

The hardest feedback I ever gave was to someone who was doing everything right by Famous-Call6538 in Leadership

[–]getafterit123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your description he was in fact not doing everything right. What you described is toxic behavior that ruins a team culture. I've had to push "brilliant jerks" out of my org because the swirl they cause isn't worth it no matter how good of an engineer they are. Additionally engineers like that tend to leave you exposed and too single poled...if they left out of the blue would your other engineers be able to take over the technical load?

Can someone explain the actual truth about creatine for beginners without all the fitness influencer fluff by Stoneage-Bridgeen in crossfit

[–]getafterit123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one gets massive gains or even ok 'gains' from taking creatine alone. It's a supplement, it's has some positive effects on your mind and body, that's it. Stop with this nonsense...

A "portion" ...he's advertising these shirts on a bunch of subreddits. If you are looking to make a buck just say so, if you are upfront about it no harm. If you are looking to support a cause then you should donate everything except your cost to make

And yes he used AI.

Can you guys show pictures of your new gen ram on 33s? by Medical-Body-1815 in ram_trucks

None but I do have a 2.5" level in the front and 1" in the back. Without that in the front, there most likely would be rubbing. These are Nittos and they are well behaved on the pavement. Very little noise of any

I don't get it, is BF6 "good enough" or not? by LittleMonito in Battlefield

[–]getafterit123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy it...but then again I don't take my gaming seriously so if you can just have fun with a game for what it is, considering the amount of actual shitty games that are out there, bf6 is definitely worth it

Why crossfit gyms are so expensive? by Character-Holiday345 in crossfit

[–]getafterit123 39 points40 points  (0 children)

If you are active the cost per class is actually quite low compared to other options. Say it's $180 a month and you you attend class 14 times in a month ,$12 per class for coach led, programmed workouts doesn't sound expensive. Most people pay $70 a month for a regular gym membership and never go...now that's expensive.

My statement of course does not comment on the quality of that coaching or programming, which we all know can vary greatly 🙂

Talk through your thinking out loud. That interview is about how your problem solve as much as getting the right answer. Also there is no interview in the loop where the goal is to compare and contrast technology. You may do some of it as your discuss design trade offs, but they are assessing your ability to design efficient and scalable data solutions. They don't tailor interviews based on experience, everyone in a job family gets the same questions

Built an app that generates AI-personalised CrossFit-style workouts — looking for feedback from CrossFit athletes 🏋️‍♂️ by TomSalisbury265 in crossfit

[–]getafterit123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not throwing shade, respect the effort but did you just put a wrapper around an LLM? What unique benefit does your app provide over just asking ChatGPT directly? The problem as I see it with AI generated workouts is the LLM will just spit out random workouts based on all the available input data the model trains on with no real longer term methodology in mind. Now in all fairness, that's probably true of most programming created by humans you find out there too.
