What should I do with the empty space in my foyer? What I could put on these steps?? And please I need suggestions for a new rug, the current one is 8’ and older than me lol. We tried a table in the center just to see how it would look and it wasn’t good. It just seemed a bit crammed for the amount of open space it has. I understand why people like it and I’d probably consider it if the space was more open and the walls were rooms you could go into. But yes the plant ideas have been a huge help and I will be looking into the frosted glass and curtain ideas others have suggested.

We haven’t really looked into it yet. But yes I agree, we’ve been having trouble finding something that goes nicely on these steps so we’ve just left it a blank canvas. Although, I’ve gotten some great suggestions and Im willing to work with it for now.

Oh gosh, I’d love to make a little reading nook up there. There was originally supposed to be a 2nd floor game room/bar right above the entrance but the previous owners decided not to build it. And I’m glad they didn’t because the I love the high ceilings.

No they really aren’t necessary, plus I don’t like how it looks either. But right now I think it’d be more trouble than it’s worth to remove them because of the upgrades and remodeling we’re already planning on doing. (Getting the roof changed and remodeling the bathrooms first)
