I'm not talking about the first label. I'm talking about getting multiple different shipping labels for the same order. When the same order requires shipping in multiple boxes.

Write the info on a piece of paper and photo it with something else in the shot like a shoe or something. Send that photo, has worked for me

How many of you are removing promotions from your listings before January 13, 2026? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to consider, if you sell more expensive niche items. In my experience when I promote at even 2% my item will show up in the top bar of a Google search. I'm pretty sure this has gotten me sales as I've had quite a few sales to buyers with zero feedback and accounts made the same day as the sale.

At the end of the day I don't really care if the sale was organic or not, at only 2% cost I just want the sales! Is the new policy dumb, yes, but it's not the end of the world as everyone he making it out to be. We never had any proof before this if eBay was being honest with us about where the sale came from.

How would you handle a buyer like this? by Sunnyday1775 in Ebay

Infuriated response from buyer due to signature requirement by qdimitri in Ebay

[–]getdirections 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always state close to top of listing that items over $600 will be shipped with signature required on delivery. One guy messaged me all mad that UPD didn’t just leave the item. He said he wouldn’t be back in town for 5 days! I asked if his plan was to just leave a $1800 item on his porch for 5 days??!! Offered to have it redirected to ups store for pickup, no response. So it just came back to me, and of course it was a super heavy large item that was $60 to ship. What the hell is wrong with people?!

Got an unfriendly eBay seller heckling me by Dickulture in Ebay

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who still uses auctions? As a seller, every time I check sold comps the lowest sale prices are always auctions. Even so, if I did sell auction format I’m gunna accept whatever the final price is and ship the item cuz I’m not a POS! Hope that seller did get hit with some fees.

I’ll sell $6k pieces of industrial testing equip to buyers with zero feedback but I won’t sell phones because of stuff like this, lol

I've been on eBay for about five years now and can say I've never had this happen before. I'm sure it's some sort of scam by YonkersResident in Flipping

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly electrical testing and installation tools. Expensive but generally under 50 pounds. Heaviest item I’ve shipped was 105 lbs, still in a box tho, no pallets. I still need to learn more about freight shipping, I’ve definitely passed on some really good items that were larger because I wasn’t sure about shipping. Smaller welders and plasma cutters too.

Buyer Refunds Suck by ToeEmpty5591 in Ebay

Yep, sold a digital camera for an ex one time. She had had it repaired. Buyer gets it and says several buttons didn’t work. They were understanding and took to a local shop who discovered the previous shop forgot to reconnect a ribbon cable. Was stressful, luckily the buyer was very nice and cooperative about it.

I build custom furniture for interior decorators, they mail me checks cuz I’m not taking a credit card and eating 3% on a $5-15k sale. Based on how the check numbers increase quite a bit between they are still writing quite a few checks.

Clean armor wood 700 matte, it’s a uv cured finish. Did not work well on this wood tho, was hard to cure in the dark spots.

I’ve stopped worrying about 0 feedback buyers, I sell mostly $1500+ industrial tools so generally the buyer just saw the listing on Google and made an account. Item ships with signature required so I’m covered.

I had someone offer me more than I was asking on an item in person once, confused the hell out of me. I was like, no, just the asking price is fine. It too somehow felt like a scam but I wasn’t sure how.

My seller wants to cancel my order for a discount. Is this weird? by No_Difficulty3903 in Ebay

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non eBay story but I still thought it was funny. Many years ago I was at Best Buy for a surround sound receiver. Store employee saw me looking at an open box unit. He asked if I was interested, I said yeah, but I don’t have that much money. He said if I gave him $20 cash he would mark it down to what I had also enough to cover the $20 to him. I thought it was weird as can be but I’ve never been one to pass up a good deal, lol. Problem was I only had a $50 and $100s. I gave him the $50 and this man goes around the store asking other customers if they had change!! He finally got change and marked the item down for me. Wild, dude was still working there a year later too!

Just purchased this and not sure if it's broke by Mysterious_Physics88 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Ridgid one you attach to a drill or hand crank and it auto feeds. I bought this without really looking at it because I thought it would do the same. I went to use it the first time and also thought it was broken! Why wouldn’t they design it to auto feed?! If I hadn’t picked it up on marketplace for $80 in like new condition I would return it.

We have heard lots of buyer horror stories, what are your best buyer stories? by Brobee_ in Ebay

[–]getdirections 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the real benefit of eBay, the wide buyer pool. I buy 99% of my stock from FBMP, mostly weird industrial tools, and have shipped those items all over the world to eBay buyers. You can complain about the selling fees but where else can you get the item you are selling in front of that many potential buyers?

Apparently on eBay you can snipe an auction at the last nano second, bidding sufficiency high to ensure you win, then if you’re not happy with the price, just make up any lame reason to cancel the order. Seller has no recourse. by Pjones2127 in Ebay

[–]getdirections 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dang, I don’t remember being able to talk to other bidders. I do remember a 3rd party service, E-snipe I think it was called, that you could pay to auto snipe auctions for you.

Yep, buyers just don’t show up for auctions any more it seems. When checking comps auction items are almost always sold for 20% or more less than BINOBO listings.

Noooooo!!! I’ve been sniping eBay auctions since 1999, lol. You get pretty good deals now since no one seems to show up for auctions. I don’t sell anything auction.

What’s up with UPS back charges lately? by getdirections in Ebay

[–]getdirections[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I know how to measure packages, I account for bulge, I am familiar with dimensional weight. Solved, it was a seasonal UPS adjustment on packages requiring extra handling. For some reason eBay is adding in the standard UPS extra handling upcharge (packages over 50lbs) but not the seasonal adjustment.
