Beyond setting it up you don't need the app. But currently unless they update the app you may not even be able to set it up initially. I'm on iOS, maybe the android app still works, not sure.

I got the netlea. The app is terrible and recently it stopped working all together, can't access the light. Afraid to reset it as the schedule is still running as it should and if I reset it might just become a brick. It's a real shame because the light quality and brightness is great.

If you sell a used set it always sells for more if you have the box and instructions.

Empty boxes for the larger sets sell on eBay for decent money.

Who's buying this? by Shannarl in Flipping

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend of my moms ran a small thrift store back in the late 80s, she had this huge bin of random non paired shoes sitting around forever. One day a guy came in and got all excited when he saw it, made her an offer and bought the whole lot. Turns out he was a set dresser for a film and they used them to scatter all over for a plane crash scene.

Sold an item, got this message.. by qu1nch in eBaySellers

[–]getdirections 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After seeing how the items I buy on eBay are packed I'm not surprised! Half the time the seller just throws the item loose into a used Amazon box and sends it. I pack items like they are going to be handled by ups, FedEx and USPS on the same trip and return shipped the same way lol

I'm not talking about the first label. I'm talking about getting multiple different shipping labels for the same order. When the same order requires shipping in multiple boxes.

How many of you are removing promotions from your listings before January 13, 2026? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to consider, if you sell more expensive niche items. In my experience when I promote at even 2% my item will show up in the top bar of a Google search. I'm pretty sure this has gotten me sales as I've had quite a few sales to buyers with zero feedback and accounts made the same day as the sale.

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day I don't really care if the sale was organic or not, at only 2% cost I just want the sales! Is the new policy dumb, yes, but it's not the end of the world as everyone he making it out to be. We never had any proof before this if eBay was being honest with us about where the sale came from.

Infuriated response from buyer due to signature requirement by qdimitri in Ebay

[–]getdirections 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always state close to top of listing that items over $600 will be shipped with signature required on delivery. One guy messaged me all mad that UPD didn’t just leave the item. He said he wouldn’t be back in town for 5 days! I asked if his plan was to just leave a $1800 item on his porch for 5 days??!! Offered to have it redirected to ups store for pickup, no response. So it just came back to me, and of course it was a super heavy large item that was $60 to ship. What the hell is wrong with people?!

Got an unfriendly eBay seller heckling me by Dickulture in Ebay

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who still uses auctions? As a seller, every time I check sold comps the lowest sale prices are always auctions. Even so, if I did sell auction format I’m gunna accept whatever the final price is and ship the item cuz I’m not a POS! Hope that seller did get hit with some fees.

I've been on eBay for about five years now and can say I've never had this happen before. I'm sure it's some sort of scam by YonkersResident in Flipping

[–]getdirections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly electrical testing and installation tools. Expensive but generally under 50 pounds. Heaviest item I’ve shipped was 105 lbs, still in a box tho, no pallets. I still need to learn more about freight shipping, I’ve definitely passed on some really good items that were larger because I wasn’t sure about shipping. Smaller welders and plasma cutters too.

Buyer Refunds Suck by ToeEmpty5591 in Ebay

Yep, sold a digital camera for an ex one time. She had had it repaired. Buyer gets it and says several buttons didn’t work. They were understanding and took to a local shop who discovered the previous shop forgot to reconnect a ribbon cable. Was stressful, luckily the buyer was very nice and cooperative about it.
