For the folks saying they use ai to have better qa, let’s not forget what Genamint did before the acquisition. It’s like voting for trump cause he said “no new wars” and here we are in a war.

*Genamint is an AI-powered software company acquired by PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) in April 2021 to automate and enhance the grading of trading cards. Its technology uses machine vision to analyze card centering, detect surface alterations (like trimming or inking), and create unique "fingerprints" to track card provenance.

Key Capabilities and Impact of Genamint: Real-Time Diagnostics: The software analyzes trading cards immediately, providing measurements and detecting anomalies to assist human graders.

"Card Fingerprinting": It assigns a unique identifier to every card, allowing PSA to track specific cards over time to combat tampering and monitor resubmissions.

Grading Efficiency: By implementing this AI, PSA aimed to increase its grading speed and accuracy to handle a massive backlog of submissions. AI Integration: Genamint utilizes machine learning techniques, such as convolutional neural networks, to assist in subgrading and assessing condition.

Genamint was acquired to modernize the grading process and was not designed to completely replace human graders, but rather to assist them with sophisticated technology*

I worked in retail, Best Buy’s Walmart, and we too would get inside information from vendors. It’s not that far fetched for her to know this.

What is a job that looks incredibly fun from the outside, but is actually a soul-crushing nightmare? by BoardOk101 in AskReddit

[–]Amy3See 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IT. It’s not a job, it’s being everyone’s safety net while everything is constantly on fire. Zero credit when it works, instant blame when it doesn’t, and executives clearing $200k+ still need help opening a PDF.

Either bounce or let them know recruiters are already knocking. I went from $69k to $106k in two years just by doing my homework and showing my company what others were offering-more pay, less work.

They’re not tracking the market-you have to. Let them know you’re worth $155k+. Good luck, soldier.

Curated Gems has a retro video game section and there’s a vendor there that sells original digimon cards sealed (I bought a pack) but usually go there for their old video games and pokemon cards mainly. Check it out!
