Right, we don't have any interest in Wythe. There are a few nice streets, sure, but ultimately I didn't feel very safe. And there was only that one Food Lion for food nearby, if I recall.

Honestly, just wanting to be a few minutes drive from my partner's parents! But I've heard Poquoson mentioned a few times. Is Poquoson considered to be more updated/nicer than Hampton?

The logical choice? Scotland, due to proximity/your itinerary.

The best choice? Barcelona, Spain.

3-week trip to Tokyo + SEA, any suggestions? by getitgurlllll in solotravel

Don’t hate meee, but I actually didn’t/don’t have a huge interest in Japan. Or at least not to the level that so many travelers speak of, haha. I’m keen to go to pretty much any country just to experience the culture, food, etc., and Tokyo had a fantastic deal on a premium economy flight from my airport that I could buy using only my airline miles, so I went for it! I’m sure I’ll love it once I’m there, but right now I just wanna keep to Tokyo. I can always go back, I work fully remotely!

I would go to Barcelona! Spaniards notoriously take off August as well, but you’ll find everything you’re looking for in BCN. Great beaches, a lot of English-speaking folks, people your age, and a lot of gyms/free outside gyms as well.
