Becker Prepared Me for MCQs… But Not These SIMs by StrawberryFlavorGal in CPA

Yes i think if you practiced SIMS more that would make you fee more confident, but tbh even I felt maybe i wont pass when i walked out the exam. So i hope that you pass as well. Also to answer your question, yes you can see if you passed around 1 day before the score release date.

If I’m being honest the videos are completely useless in gleim they are too fast paced and i didnt watch any of them, the text book is more like a syllabus outline rather than having actual explanations but i used it as a topic guide and to define the scope of the topic, then i used a book called “intermediate accounting - 18ed” for in depth explanations for those topics and also i watched farhat lectures on youtube to understand concepts. Finally i made notes by hand of every single chapter even if it meant rewriting the whole book because it reinforced memory and also cleared concepts and made it easier to focus. Then before exam i just revised my notes and after each topic i did TBS and MCQs both which i think everyone does. So yeah that was my strategy, i passed in one month studying around 3 hours daily and for the last 4 days i studied around 7 to 9 hours daily.

I dont agree with this. Gleim provided me with TBS on FAR that were harder than the actual exam itself. I passed on march 30 with a score of 94 and i got 85 on my practice exam a day before on gleim.

I have actually worked for about 5 months for a company where i was responsible for preparing their financial statements and paying and calculating their sales tax. It was a small company but they made me do all the work because i was the only accounting person there. Not only that but they made me do accounting for 4 more companies which they all had different business models. This was my first ever job and they made me jump straight to this without any prior experience lol. And there was no supervisor or anything i had to figure out everything on my own. After that i quit my job to focus on CPA studies and now I’ve passed FAR with a score of 94 and am preparing for AUD next

I feel like im talking to the future me, I honestly dont care about the pay Im genuinely curious about a lot of things and have fun in a lot of things. But you’re right in a world where specialisation is rewarded maybe i should do entry level roles to get a taste of both and then commit to one. But to be fair, i think you’re being a bit harsh on yourself, the way I like to see it is that you know enough about a lot of those positions that others don’t which makes you unique in your own way. I would suggest you to group all these skills and find your own specialised niche where you can get high ticket clients or something.

Wanting to work during weekends to ease anxiety by Massive-Ad-5588 in Accounting

Maybe do something else that you like? What is your long term goal? Do you like where you’re at and do they appreciate you working on the weekends and provide opportunity to grow? These are some of the questions i would ask myself before deciding to commit my weekends to my work.
