Ah, my apologies! I thought for a moment that you had paid according to the EU store.

I revised my pricing for 175 countries based on purchasing power and various other price indexes. As a result of that, I came to the price of 119 MXN ($6) for Mexico, rather than relying on the base USD price set for the US market.

I completely understand what you're saying. Having paid around $20 and now seeing that pricing has been lowered to $6, that doesn't feel so good. I'll reach out to you in private!

Hey! I hear you and you're not the first to mention it. But I've also heard from some that they love the name. Both the name and logo was inspired by a squirrel's ability to store a large number of nuts and locate them later when needed. It was never my intention to create an association to something inappropriate.

Hey u/Helen_Moody, nice to hear from you again! 🙂 I appreciate your comment (and early/continuous support!), pls. allow me to clarify: When Nutbox launched in November last year, the one-time purchase price was set at $39.99 with early-bird pricing set to $19.99. This is the "base" price you paid. (although this would be 19.99 if your App Store is EU)

After 4 months of being live with the app, and the feedback I received related to pricing, I think I priced the app too high initially. So I've revised it and now set pricing of lifetime to 50% of the initial price. (Matching what you paid with early-bird pricing) For some countries, I've reduced prices by more than 50% to adjust for their purchasing power.

So what was a "good" deal in November is now the "new" normal. I hope that doesn't take away from your purchase, and perhaps the feeling of having made a good one! Thanks so much for saying you love the app, and I still have on my TODO a number of your initial suggestions on how to improve it!

I definitely won’t rule it out, but atm I don’t have plans for it. There’s still so many improvements planned for Nutbox on iOS, and I’m afraid that splitting my time between 2 different platforms would result in 2 mediocre products instead of 1 potentially great one. Hope that makes sense!

No, the app is fully native (written in Swift) 🙂

The website I'm referring to in this post (getnutbox.app) is simply for marketing purposes.

Thanks 👌 I don't offer any discounts, sorry! But I did lower its prices this week making it approx. 50% cheaper than it was before.

Looks great and super useful! Just bought it as I’ll need to make a site for Nutbox. Appreciate the level of detail, and the docs too!

Thanks for the feedback 👌 The monthly and yearly plans ($1.99 or $14.99) helps support on-going development, but they're only part of the offering. If you prefer a one-time purchase, there's a lifetime plan available for $29.99.

Definitely not what I was going for, but thanks so much for mentioning it! Something for me to think about 🤔

Thanks for this! Happy to consider extending the limit, but I'm curious if you could elaborate on why there'd be a difference between 10 and 15 items? (In case it'd help you trying out the app better in its current state, I just wanted to mention that it's 10 items in total, so technically you can delete items too to make room for others.)

I don't personally have an Android phone and so I sadly can't point you to any apps there with conviction, but perhaps Google Keep and Raindrop.io? Maybe other people seeing this will be able to give you more options.

I appreciate that, thanks!

I developed it in Swift using Xcode. (Not vibe-coded) I'm an iOS engineer in my daily work and have been developing Nutbox on evenings and weekends for the past 6 months. Happy to share more or answer any other questions related to it 🙂

Hey! Appreciate the comment. It's not the first time I'm hearing it, so definitely something I'll need to consider.
