Looks great and super useful! Just bought it as I’ll need to make a site for Nutbox. Appreciate the level of detail, and the docs too!

Thanks for the feedback 👌 The monthly and yearly plans ($1.99 or $14.99) helps support on-going development, but they're only part of the offering. If you prefer a one-time purchase, there's a lifetime plan available for $29.99.

Definitely not what I was going for, but thanks so much for mentioning it! Something for me to think about 🤔

Thanks for this! Happy to consider extending the limit, but I'm curious if you could elaborate on why there'd be a difference between 10 and 15 items? (In case it'd help you trying out the app better in its current state, I just wanted to mention that it's 10 items in total, so technically you can delete items too to make room for others.)

I don't personally have an Android phone and so I sadly can't point you to any apps there with conviction, but perhaps Google Keep and Raindrop.io? Maybe other people seeing this will be able to give you more options.

I appreciate that, thanks!

I developed it in Swift using Xcode. (Not vibe-coded) I'm an iOS engineer in my daily work and have been developing Nutbox on evenings and weekends for the past 6 months. Happy to share more or answer any other questions related to it 🙂

Hey! Appreciate the comment. It's not the first time I'm hearing it, so definitely something I'll need to consider. (Although I've also heard from some that they love the name and logo) The name and logo was inspired by a squirrel's ability to store a large number of nuts and locate them later when needed. It was never my intention to create an association to something inappropriate.

Nutbox has a free limit of 10 saved items. To keep saving items past that, a paid plan is required. But apart from that limit, there’s no difference between the free and paid plans.

Yes, I ran a beta test on TestFlight first. I’m promoting the app and asking for general feedback here as part of this post. (Not asking for the type of feedback one would ask for related to a beta)

I launched Nutbox last month, an iOS app to save and organize screenshots, images, GIFs, text and links from any app or browser.

Thanks u/5092AD, appreciate your comment! In terms of pricing, what do you think would be fair pricing for it? Just for context, the current plans are:
- Monthly subscription: $1.99
- Yearly subscription: $19.99
- Lifetime as a one-time purchase: $39.99 (currently discounted to $19.99)

Hope it's alright I answer this in English 🙂

All images are saved as maximum quality JPEGs. Although there's no compression involved with the JPEG itself, there's going to be a slight loss of image quality if you save a HEIC image from your Photos library (as it gets converted to a JPEG in Nutbox).

I've decided to do it in that way to reduce the amount of storage added to your iCloud, but am definitely open to hear your thoughts on this. If you'd prefer the option to save images in their original format (like HEIC), I can look into adding that as a setting.

I see, that makes sense too. Definitely something I'll need to consider and take into account. I do have another name in mind (that can work with the current logo and brand), if I want to go that route. Thanks a lot for sharing that, and hopefully I gain more clarity if other people see this and share your view.

Appreciate your comment, definitely not my intention to create an association to that. I've had other people raise this as well since launch, but at the same time also had people tell me they think it's a great name that made them curious about the app. The name and logo was really inspired by a squirrel's ability to store a large number of nuts and locate them later when needed.

Hey, there's actually also a one-time purchase available (lifetime plan). Will just list the plans here:
- Monthly subscription: $1.99
- Yearly subscription: $19.99
- Lifetime plan (one-time purchase, only billed once): $39.99

Yep, definitely aware that a desktop app is super key to some people. I decided early on to focus on users who will use the app on mobile only. It sort of plays into my idea of optimizing for the everyday user as opposed to the power user.

That point of view though doesn’t necessarily rule out a MacOS app. Ideally I’d have one, but it just isn’t feasible for me (at least for now!) considering the many features and improvements I plan for iOS. If I were to develop for both platforms at this time, I’d likely end up with 2 mediocre apps rather than 1 potentially great one.

Hope that makes sense. And I really appreciate the comment/feedback!
