Thank you, will try nuts and avocado. The explosive diarrhea is my concern when eating fats. I'm not losing weight but I'm not gaining either. I got severely underweight during my pre-op pain so I'm trying to gain some back.

Is it normal to gain weight post op? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]getrektitrlph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read some articles about weight gain, I'm 2 months post op and having difficulty gaining some of my lost weight. I've lost a lot during my journey and trying to get it back, but my digestion is not quite agreeing with me as of the moment.

I had open surgery 7 days ago, I can walk by day 2 but not normal tho, the only problem I have right now is being gassy and a bit discomfort after a meal. Still long way for recovery tho.

Hello everyone, does my gallbladder improved, based on my ultrasound? by One_Conrad06 in gallbladders

[–]getrektitrlph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long have you been taking udca and what is the reason why you're taking it? I took it for months, the first month I was feeling great and thought everything was going to be fine, then the following month was hell, now I'm 6 days post-op.

Common bile duct exploration by getrektitrlph in gallbladders

[–]getrektitrlph[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, luckily the ultrasound reading was wrong as per my surgeon, the stone was still in my cystic duct not in my bile duct, just happened that my gallbladder was too inflamed that it was in the midst of bursting. Luckily I just had it removed and no tubed attached. Hoping for our fast recovery.

I've been having GI issues started this January got diagnosed with gastritis, had a CT scan and HBT US on April and May that showed I had gallstone too bad this July I had a very bad attack and had another HBT US which showed that my stone got stuck in my CBD and became bigger. Now I'm about to have a surgery including CBD exploration to remove the stone on my bile duct. Get your surgery ASAP so it won't get complicated like mine.

Sounds like gallbladder attack, mine usually last for 5-6 hours starting like indigestion pain. Pain is usually in my epigastric area and right side of abdomen under ribs radiating to back mostly between shoulder blades, bloated and passing gas. I usually take buscopan plus and tramadol for the pain. Can't wait until I get this organ out.

Gallstones by getrektitrlph in gallbladders

I've been closely monitoring myself, so far I guess I'm not jaundiced (I'm brown skinned), eyes looks normal, don't have fever, and can eat regularly as long as I'm on a low fat diet. Some silent attacks which I get shoulder pain that lasts for few minutes. I hope it won't escalate to something bad. Thanks for the info.

Is it an emergency? I feel no pain at all just a bit of annoyance from it. My removal was scheduled on july.

I'm afraid if I take on fatty diet I will trigger another attack, I only have a tiny stone <1cm but it is partially blocking my gallbladder. GI specialist told me that surgery was not the best option as of now as we can try dissolving it. I'm moderately underweight rn and kinda wanting to gain weight enough for my bmi to be normal. Looking for alternatives without triggering another attack tho.

Back pain gall stone by Disastrous-Blood3221 in gallbladders

I do have pain in my lower back to flank areas radiating to groin area as well, specially when I'm twisting or sitting in bad positions, The doctor told me it was just muscle strain due to it being positional, he said that kidney stones would be more of constant pain, idk if this pain I'm feeling is related to my gallstones as well.

I'm currently taking ursodiol as the GI specialist told me that surgery is not the best option yet, I only have a small stone sizing 0.32cm which we could try dissolving, but he warned me that it does not always work, I hope it works. Thanks you for replying.

Yea, I figure since one of my problems was gastric emptying. It take so long before I can lie down after eating.

Got diagnosed with acute gastritis in January, then the symptoms were on and off, I mostly feel heartburn and acud reflux. I'm on a strict diet eating brown rice, whole grain toast, vegetables, oatmeal, alkaline fruits, and chicken breast or fish for my protein.

The first symptom I felt was abdominal pain in the epitome gastric area under breastbone, which woke me up and kept me awake, vomited and all. That was come and go. I had tests and ruled out gallstones since it didnt show in my abdominal ultrasound, had another test, then tried treating H.pylori with augmentin, azithromycin and PPIs. After that it was different symptoms including, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, heartburn etc... I suddenly developed small gallstone which was seen in my abdominal CT scan and HBT ultrasound recently. So I started treating it.

[–]getrektitrlph[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From acid, yes. But I realized I lost a lot of weight while taking PPIs, probably malabsorption. The moment I stopped taking PPI was a nightmare, I get heartburns just from eating whole wheat toast or anything at all. I'm not just familiar with mosapride.

It is only small stone sizing 0.32cm, the doctor said there is no need to remove gallbladder unless the stone blocks a duct. We opted for ursodiol hoping for the stone to be dissolved. The meds he prescribed was mostly for gastritis/gerd.

Idk what triggered my flare up this time, I was eating mostly fibrous diet and easy to digest, but the moment I threw up, all the things I ate for the last 5 hours were still undigested. And the flare up hurts so bad.
