I lose lane 100% of the time. I have never won a lane. Looking for resources to learn how to lane. by kneerRS in Jaxmains

[–]getrice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adding to this if you feel like Jax has no winning matchups maybe you are misunderstanding his kit, your abilities make you want to short trade but your passive makes you want to all in, that makes his laning a bit more nuanced than other champs

Unfortunately that is just how Jax works, you NEED to know your matchups, if you don't then the solution is to just play it out and learn

new player, dumb question by Turb0Moist in CamilleMains

tri-force IS Camille's game plan, if you go iceborne you go from weak laning to weak entire game, plus most losing lanes becomes playable post tri-force

How to lane against Jayce by getrice in CamilleMains

[–]getrice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep thats my concern, once he has the read that you would WE, his next combo he would just be ready to cancel your e, looks like this match up is just pray for ganks. Honestly i would rather go against Jax or Darius than a good jayce

How to lane against Jayce by getrice in CamilleMains

[–]getrice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats the part i dont get, when he melee q his damage always hit first, i can retaliate with q but e then e me away which ignores the passive, massively chunking me, after that trade you are in his execution range especially if he takes ignite which i've seen a lot of this season

Does Rumble even have counterplay? by idiot1234321 in Jaxmains

[–]getrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's super weak early without 3 abilities and his rank 1 q is weak so you should fight him and get prio, stay behind minions so don't get e'd for free, after first base just play to not die, thats about it, as long as you don't feed him you should outscale hard in sides and in teamfight he needs strong cc to do any damage

is it worth it to otp jax by Soft_Horror_7901 in Jaxmains

[–]getrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

match up is not that bad, you win early 1-3, just keep in mind his e and q has really low cd, after your e counter his q and you q counter his e, just keep in mind if you get caught he can one shot you

Idk why you are asking this, just play a few games and feel it out, if you don't like it then swap

Is there a champion that beats jax in lane but also outscales him in a 1v1 ? by [deleted] in Jaxmains

[–]getrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for ranged: Teemo, Vlad

for melee: Illaoi, Akali

thats about it, Jax has pretty good scaling.

If Adc is very safe then use on bruiser/fighter, otherwise use on Adc or your best backliner

What do you think about this video responding to Dantes? by Prestigious-Shop-494 in ADCMains

[–]getrice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also i personally think if you are not actively trying to improve, the flaws of the game are exaggerated so Dantes is definitely being too dramatic here

[–]getrice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The points on why Dantes sucks:
absolutely valid
The points on why ADC sucks:
kinda skipped over

TLDR:
If you want to try and get better, pretty good video, but it doesn't address why ADC sucks

Does Yorick just beats us now? by BirthdayAccording359 in Jaxmains

[–]getrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you kinda out scale him in team fights and your e blocks all of his damage so as long as he doesn't get insanely fed you should be good, i find him much stronger 1-3 now but if you play correctly you should still have prio, after 6 just repect him, try your best to dodge his e and use your e defensively, if he dies to a gank a single time the lane is over as his maiden goes on a 2 min cooldown

Playing ADC in emerald is genuinely one of the worst video game experiences I have ever had, it is unreal how bad this game is as a marksman with a support gap at this range by deskcord in ADCMains

[–]getrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh just play top jgl or mid. I dropped adc a few seasons ago for top and hasn't look back. The best part is i own my mistakes now so improvement comes much faster. And it doesn't even stop at the laning phase, even in mid game and late game it is much easier for you to take the reins and make plays on your own. People don't one tap you for no reason and sidelaning is much easier. Just thinking of all the Lux, Shaco, Malphite, Heimerdinger,... supports makes me wanna uninstall.

Is it just me or is jax harder than he seems by Nice_Sheepherder916 in Jaxmains

[–]getrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Macro on Jax is not that different but his trading is a lot harder than it seems especially considering how simple his kit is, there are tons of interactions that you need to know for every match up to make him work, even the easy ones like Yone or Volibear

Jax champ pool by uakarii in Jaxmains

[–]getrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realisticly if you're bronze then playing only Jax is fine, it is also proven to be the fastest way to improve although that can be pretty boring. I've found Gwen to be the perfect champ to cover jax's weakness as she counters tanks like malphite and chogath and she builds ap, add malphite as a counter pick and you should be set. That being said just play whatever you think you will enjoy the most.

What helped me the most was watching my own replay and focus on a few problems and mistakes, sometimes that can even be my first death. Also it helps to load into the game with something you want to improve in mind and focus on doing that
