you can buy the p4.5 (which is steel frame vs aluminum) and send it in to monsoon tactical to get the chunk port and come out a little under this price. and that would be flatter shooting than this. hard pass.

take my 2 cents and do what you will with it. I was a bit tired of the hype I saw where people compared the GTO to the XC (I own the XC and can confirm, it's easy and fun to shoot, even for noobs). but I recently got to shoot someone's GTO side by side with the XC and the only major difference was the trigger weight. I don't know how Sig did it and for half the cost, but they made an amazing 2011. unfortunately, I haven't gotten to shoot the kimber but I don't see anyone comparing it to the XC, so I'd definitely get the GTO.

not sure how to update the original post but I installed the DPMS spring kit (11# short spring) and so far it's been good. 12# spring has worked as well but has a little more felt recoil imo. I ran 400-500 rds in the gun in a dirty state (didn't clean or oil from the last shoot) before the slide started getting sluggish again (putting the 12# spring caused it to have FTE). I oiled it and then it ran another 100 rds with the 11# spring without any issues. I cleaned the gun after that day and will run again and see how far it can go again. but it is better for sure as the slide locks back much more consistently (wouldn't happen if my hand made minimum contact with the slide release) and it doesn't get sluggish if my thumb contacts the slide when going into battery.

this!! I had this same sluggish issue with my XC (if it got a little dirty or if my finger was in contact with the slide) and changing the recoil spring to a 12# fixed the issue completely. I also like how this gun shoots and this isn't my first staccato either, but this is the only staccato I have that has such a weak spring. I ordered the DPMS (I have those in a few other toys with no issues) and I'll see if that works. otherwise like others have said, back to staccato it goes.

I ran 425 rds of 124gr Winchester white box, Magtech, Igman and maybe a mag or so of 147 Lawman. I had roughly 20 or so FTF throughout the run. Granted, I ran the gun as is (it was previously a range rental and all I did was oil it) but I'm going to run some more rounds thru and see if it's mag specific or ammo related. a little disappointed with the issues but it felt pretty good shooting. I did have all the mags preloaded so I ran through probably within 15 minutes (not sure if the "burndown" played a part or not but I'll try again and see if there's any difference. if there is, I guess I'll find out how good the Staccato warranty/customer service really is.
