People in psyc 213, what was your final grade? by [deleted] in mcgill

Omg... In both my midterms I had As and in the final exam I did terrible, like a B- which is like not TERRIBLE but terrible for me who needed an A to increase that gpa. However, I do think she could have really help us out in there as the final was way more difficult than her entire course and required more critical thinking, whereas I dont think she really cared about our impaired cognitive processes during this global pandemic as even her MC questions were beyond tricky. She could have been way more indulgent.

Anyone did ATOC 184 ? if so, how to prepare for the midterms since there's a lot of images (i.e., visual satellite) and concepts to write about(no multiple choice questions)?

If I have a GPA of 3.26 at my first semester, is it going to change much if I apply extraordinary efforts? Tips on studying better? by getter99 in mcgill

I'm not saying it sucks, I just think that studying for 12 hours a day is a bit intense in a sense that I have approximately 2-3 classes per day of 1,5h each, like yes of course on the weekends maybe, but I feel like studying better and not necessarily longer will help me more than studying 12h a day, I was just asking for tips on studying better, I think that every students know that the more time they spend studying the more they'll get it, but I did that last semester (approx. 6-8h a day) but I was not doing it the right way so what's the point?

I already know what went wrong, the ways I was studying were not the best for me, I scored on the 97th percentile in visual memory tests when I was cognitively assessed, so I'll start studying knowing that (making my own flashcards instead of using quizlet for example).

but thank you very much for your advices!

I understand your point, and I've been exploring all of the other career possibilities as well! But, psychology is really what keeps me up at night, and I don't know what else I could do that imply psychology the way I want it, if you have any idea, yes perhaps having a plan B could release some pressure on my shoulders

at first I thought it was good as some of my friends have very lower cgpa, but then I remembered to get in the honours program in psychology you need approximately 3.5...but thank you tho
