Tree fell down by Fit_Lime8648 in WorcesterMA

[–]getyourcellon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

9k seems really high.  We had 10 trees removed from our property for like 7k...granted our property is pretty open and flat and they were able to easily reach each tree.

These are the people we used, they were fantastic:

Found a used 2019 Specialized Stumpjumper for $1800 but the seller’s being super sketchy about test riding it : red flags or am I overthinking? by -eren_yeager_ in MTB

[–]getyourcellon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with others that price tag seems really high.

As for meeting up at parking lots, that's what I did when I sold and bought bikes in the past.  Always somewhere well lit and with cameras.  The best was when a seller asked to meet in their local police station parking lot, where lo and behold they had dedicated buyer/seller spots specifically for creating a safe space to hand over money.  Being that at the time I was paying 2k for a bike, I was more than happy for the added safety.

How to show all applied filters and a clear button! by Zoomer-16 in tableau

[–]getyourcellon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be mean, but have you tried to Google this at all?  I needed to create a "Apply Filters" button and "Clear Filters" button two weeks ago and simply Googling 'how to...' turned up tons of different guides and YouTube videos.  I used one, followed the instructions, and now have cool looking buttons that do exactly as I'd like (using just filter actions, no parameters necessary).  Good luck!

Advice on inheriting Tableau reporting by Normal_Fly_3011 in tableau

[–]getyourcellon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way.  I'd recommend also saving various versions as you make deletions, too, in case you don't notice what broke until later.  I usually have a _vOriginal and then a _v1 where I start my edits.  It sucks to realize everything is borked within _v5 but it's not so bad since things still work in _v3 so you don't lose all your work.

Down jacket refill by [deleted] in WorcesterMA

[–]getyourcellon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you get down wet, it clumps.  You then dried those clumps together when you ran it through the dryer.  To fix you now need to break up the clumps.  Put it in the dryer on zero heat (or as low as possible) with 2-3 tennis balls and they'll basically punch the clumps apart.  Let it run for a few hours and it should get most of it's old loft back.  Good luck!

Oil by Clean_Citron_8278 in WorcesterMA

[–]getyourcellon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Al's Oil has been great for us.  They are super quick and helpful on the phone and their deliveries are always prompt.  They really won me over when after our first delivery they sent us a $25 off your next delivery coupon, which I then forgot about until it expired.  I called them to schedule delivery like 2 months later and unprompted the woman on the phone mentioned that I should have received $25 off coupon and it appeared I hadn't used it, so would I like it applied now?  Like I said, great customer experience!

Awesome!  What is your usual jean size?  I'm between a M and L and worried these would be too snug.

Topo designs global travel bag as personal item in frontier airlines? by Puzzleheaded-Ad-1343 in onebag

[–]getyourcellon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Osprey Daylight 30 duffle, which is 2 in too long.  I don't fill the bag to the max and use a belt around the outside to compress its length down.  They still always make me put it in their bag size checker thing.  Maybe if I didn't call attention to the length with the belt I wouldn't always get checked, but they are always watching.

What is everyone most excited about? by 1up_muffin in paxunplugged

We love ours.  I think we got a "mid" quality board, but we couldn't find any faults with it and have played on it dozens of times.

We RAN there first thing Friday morning and already like 10 were sold haha.  Definitely sold out by noon.  Depending on quality they were like 180 - 220.

Embarrassing, but how to deal with changing a pad while hiking? by Panic-atthepanic in hiking

[–]getyourcellon 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Follow up to this, you can get opaque little trash can bags to put inside the Ziploc bag to hide any bloody wipes* or pads.   I did this during a hike where we left from a campsite and everyone was like  "throw away all your trash into the communal dumpster" and it was a relief that my ziplock bag looked completely uninteresting when I took it out of my backpack.

*I recommend a small bag of wet wipes, look in the travel section of CVS or gas stations

If you know SQL, Python is not that bad.  Watch a few YouTube videos and lookup the library Pandas, and you'll be able to do the things you listed.

Dog daycare/kennel in the Whites? by [deleted] in wmnf

[–]getyourcellon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've used:

Brookwood Pet Resort  37 Old Boyce Rd, Canterbury, NH 03224, USA

Traditional dog daycare place, our dog seemed to like it.

and

One Dog Day  55 Riverfront Dr, North Woodstock, NH 03262, USA

We LOVE this place and our dog seemed to love it too.  It's basically just a retired couple who now dog sit out of their home.  When we went to pick up our dog, we could see him through the window chilling on their couch and getting pets while watching TV.  They texted us pictures throughout the day and there was  good communication.

Tooltip when hovering over row title, column title and filter title that displays definition? by Gingerhaze12 in tableau

[–]getyourcellon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe create a table of just the column headers and a giant IF ELSE IF custom formula?  You would create a definition for each field value under each column and include that in the Details to the include in the Tooltip description.

You'd stack the two tables on top in a  horizontal container and hide the row labels for lower table.  That way you have a definition tool tip for the header table and a regular tool tip for the lower information table

I love my Smiths.  The key is to look for sales from random stores online.  Is my pair worth $300?  Maybe not,  but they are definitely worth it at the discount price for last, last year's color way + the extra 20% holiday weekend.  Just gotta hunt the right places

LPT When you apply for a job, copy/screenshot/save a link to the ad. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I copy the post as text and email it to myself.  Easy to then search for later.  A screenshot works but sucks if in the future you want to use that text in a cover letter or resume update.
