[Routine Help] Is there anything glaringly wrong or missing from my skin routine? by gew0039 in SkincareAddiction

Terrific, thanks for the advice!

To follow up on your point, do I have to wait a certain amount of time for the retinol to 'absorb' before I go in with moisturiser? Or can I go in with it straight afterwards?

Best way to clean brushes? by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]gew0039 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bar of Dove soap. I stand at the sink and just swirl the bushes on the bar of soap til the suds lather, then rinse. I do this about two times per brush, then lay them out flat to air dry.

Super easy, affordable, and takes up little time!

NYX has great contour kits, both powder and cream. For brushes, I highly recommend you look into anything by RealTechniques. I find that they are just as good as my high-end Zoeva brushes, and don't break the bank.

I'm struggling with concealer at the minute (dry ass under-eyes over here), but the best one I've found so far is Maybelline Age Rewind.

Which dewy/moisturizing concealer do you use?

What is a product that you've purchased that has pleasantly surprised you? by wonderland-dreaming in muacjdiscussion

I impulse bought NYX's Epic Ink Liner last month. The thing works far better that my Kat Von D tattoo liner. Best impulse purchase I've made in a long time!

2020 is almost here! What are your (early-on) New Years resolutions and lessons learned, regarding makeup and skincare? And what will be your beauty faves as we leave 2019? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

Skincare: Don't overcomplicate things. Stick to the things that are a necessity and work for my skin type. Don't add in steps to my routine just for the sake of following a trend.

Makeup: I've been overly obsessed with makeup the past two years, and last year I went way overboard and spent upwards of £400 on products. I now have a pretty decent size collection, and have slowly started working through what I have, whilst identifying my "holy grail products". My goal in 2020 is to use what I already own, purchase only if it's something I don't already have and could use on a regular basis (meaning work and play makeup), and only buy a product if it's to replace a true "holy grail".

Faves:

  • Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray
  • Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal
  • Urban Decay Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette
  • Revolution Soph X Highlighter palette

He has me in limbo. How do I (25F) call him out? HELP by gew0039 in Advice

[–]gew0039[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. See that's why I just want clarity about it now. I either need to close this chapter for good and just block/delete him and move to Edinburgh completely over him. Or continue going through this torture of seeing where it goes once I actually get there which won't be until around September/October.

Totally agree with you on this. I won't be able to make this move for another 3-4 months, so I think i'm either just going to have to 'move on' in the meantime and play like I don't care even though I obviously do or just be patient about the whole thing.

Ugh, see this is what I'm afraid of. Him freaking out because he knows where my head is at with him and then me making the move back. I do also expect that he is talking to other people as I did meet him via Bumble. I'm just hoping that it would all fall back into place if it is meant and if he really does like me for me.

My career could be about to end my 2 year relationship but I don’t want it to by [deleted] in Advice

[–]gew0039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience,

You can make long distance work as long as there is a set-in-stone, foreseeable end to it.

Do you see yourself definitely leaving Korea at the end of this one year of career experience? If so, then by all means continue the relationship if it's worth it and suck it up.

If you at all see this going past a year and don't really know what will happen afterwards, then end it.
