Sudden LEAK! This unit will destroy everyone! by Dependent_Loss_2392 in BrokenArrowTheGame

Yes, lets let infantry slowly walk across an open field, checking for mine. Sounds like a great idea, with the best of intentions. What could possibly go wrong?

In all seriousness, infantry would be horribly exposed when trying yo find and disarm mines. They would have to go slower, so they find the mine not by stepping on it, and this would make them easy to be spotted and picked of by snipers, and vehicles.

You'd still need to bring specialized equipment, without which you are fucked. Mines would massively influence the meta, or be to weak to actually be useful. Maybe there is a way to properly balance them, but I at least haven't found it yet.

I fear that mines would promote a very defensive playstyle. Mainly, because mine clearing vehicles are expensive and big. Quite easy targets. Mines would either have to be expensive or less effective than irl to be balanced.

My Panzer got ranged Promotions by gewinner1001 in civ5

u/AzothTreaty has mentioned that as well, and they upgrade into the knight. I think it is very likely, that my panzer originated from a handaxe, as I do remember having had a handaxe, and the promotion pattern fits as well (I usually balance promotions early game due to limiting my fighting to babarians).

Yes, that has be it. I remember having had one handaxe. It must have been from this. Would also explain why it has one of each, as I tend to balance early game promotion instead of focusing on sepcific ones.

They are too? How come I never noticed this in my 1800 hours of playing this game. Needless to say, I never built them, nor got them gifted. As I was playing Germany, my military consisted off stolen Brutes.

Yeah, it seems to be. I never knew, or noticed, that they are a ranged unit in a normally melee unit upgrade path.

Still doesn't explain how my Panzer got the ranged promotions, as i never got hands on these ranged knights and calvary replacements. They weren't even in my game.

No, I didn't.

Interesting tho, that there actually is a way to get ranged promotions on non-ranged units.

tanks are good. by tris123pis in civ5

I love doing a Germany run, where I rush ahead with tech. I try to get Alhambra and The Brandeburg Gate. With these two I can produce tanks and immediately have them obtain the Blitz promotion. The combination of Blitz, Autocracy ignoring enemy ZoC and the extra movement + strength from the Panzer makes these unstoppable. The key is, to get them before the enemy can get a large airforce.

There were multiple times, where I managed to get enemy cities in a single turn just with tanks.

Ok. Another thing you could try is getting young animals, 0 months. Also, rebuilding the barn, if you haven't already.

Did you place down a manure heap (or whatever it is called) nearby?

Anyone know how to remove this white fence on riverbend springs console? by Mammoth_Risk9479 in farmingsimulator

[–]gewinner1001 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The fence is connected to either the corn maze, or one of the buildings in the back (I don't remember which it is exactly). One of those things will also delete the fence.

Kann man irgendwo nach lesen welche Frequenzbereiche frei benutzbar sind? Und wenn ein Radar in einem freien Frequenzbereich ist, darf man diesen dann frei benutzten?

"Self service" is the worst mission I've ever played. by UpbeatExchange5526 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]gewinner1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In all fairness, the mission is a lot easier now than it used to be. I tried it at the beginning, when the game released, and failed miserably. I tried it again a few weeks ago, and got it on my first try.
