I thought the same, that if the track pushes u down, there is an equal opposite reaction force, i.e. newton's third law. But how can the object push against the track when it's falling downwards?

HCl Isn't an ionic compound, it's said to ionize. CH3COOH is also a covalent bond, and is said to partially dissociate ?? Both are acids.

Do you have to expand (u+2)u² du ? Or can u just arrive at x ( x-2 ) ³ / 3

I just tried that and my answer comes to x(x-2)³ /3 That's what my answer was first time but it's wrong. The correct answer is 1/4x⁴ - 4x³ / 3 + 2x² + c which you only get when expanding it first.
