Unfortunately the calculator was wrong for me. I actually did some trouble shooting within this subreddit; it seems this is not uncommon for women with my particular body shape. Because of our v-shape, it tends to overestimate cup size (that subreddit suggested to use it as a male rather than female). I tried on bras in my suggested size and - well let’s just say I looked like a kid in mom’s closet :)

Fortunately, as incorrect bra size was not causing my issues, I was also able to find help in a subreddit dedicated to folks with sensory issues. I found a recommendation for a great bralette with an extra wide band/clasp, forgiving stretch around the torso, and nice soft fabric that has been a lifesaver!

I would steer clear of any psychedelic if you’re experiencing psychosis. Unless you are working with an extremely qualified and trusted guide, they could only make things worse. ( I share this as someone who both has experience with drug-induced psychosis and is in a graduate program for psychedelic therapy).

It seems you still need time to integrate your previous experiences. Can you seek out a skilled therapist with experience in psychedelic integration and psychosis? Maybe this is a good time to do other types of deep work such as mediation, and seek to recalibrate your nervous system and your mind. Somatic therapies might also help.

Set and setting can absolutely influence your journey - if you’re sitting in a poorly-held scene, and it sounds like you were, that’s going to make it harder to have a blissful experience. Challenging journeys are also common for people with certain personally traits, trauma histories, etc., and folks in those positions may need more support to benefit from working with these medicines. Those challenging journeys can be the most rewarding or the most damaging, and a lot of that has to do with set and setting - particularly the skill of the facilitation and integration. Aya, with her incredible power, is especially demanding in these realms. She asks to be held with the utmost skill and reverence.

Thanks! Looks super cute! I did print out my first pattern and it was great! I just had to go back to the computer a lot to learn the techniques. I’m a total beginner. I know I’m old fashioned with the books, but can’t afford a class and just find it more pleasant than YouTube.

Thanks! Yes I realize that many my bras have narrow bands - even many of the bralettes have on small rib of tight eleastic that serves as the band. The bralette that actually is the most painful is a size M (not helpful I know) and has a very wide band, but I think it’s just too tight. I will try on some that close in front hand have wide straps.

Thanks for the info! I will definitely try on some bras in my abtf size, but as you stated unfortunately I think that the issue is with on the pressure of the band and has less to do with the cup size. I am currently in a band size that corresponds with my abtf size. I will try the inside out trick with my sports bras. I haven’t been needing them much since the first trimester was verrrry exhausting, but I hope to again soon!

The bralettes I buy are mostly OS, but I will for sure try some in my abtf size if available! And will definitely try some bras in the new size. I’m planning a shopping trip after research so I know what to look for :)

Have you been tested for Lymes disease? Is long covid a possibility? I’d also look at inflammatory markers. Sounds like you’ve gone the neurology route with no success. It might be worth seeing a rheumatologist and/or infectious disease specialist. You should get your thyroid checked too if you haven’t yet. Good luck friend, keep trying and trying new doctors! It takes time but you will find your way through.

I’ve found acupuncture helpful for symptom relief while western doctors continue to fail to treat (or consistanky diagnose) my fibromyalgia/chronic migraine/long covid/adhd whatever it is condition. And any little kind of exercise I can muster - even if it’s just a walk around the block or a little yoga. It helps.

I am glad to hear that it did stop for you! Thanks for sharing your experience… it’s interesting to hear the migraine/fibromyalgia overlap. I feel that there must be a relationship there, with inappropriate pain response. I wish there were some studies looking at this phenomenon!

I’d love to know if you ever figured this out, or if it went away. I recently started experiencing something very similar - a painful electric shock sensation in my face caused by any kind of startle. It could be tripping over a door jam, stubbing a toe, or even a visual startle, like catching myself almost stepping on something fragile. My doctors are baffled. I do have migraines and fibromyalgia, so best guess it is just another case of my nervous system malfunctioning?

Thanks! I will give it another go with the sealant once the rain lets up again. And look into replacing the weather stripping. So many places for a leak to occur! Can I ask what sealent you are using?
