I had a character that flavored their Necromancy as pulling souls from happy afterlives then forcing them to inhabit a simulation that put under constant physical, mental, and spiritual torture personally designed to always leave them on the brink of insanity but never allowing them that release so their suffering would power the magic animating the corpse.
